    I’d like to suggest a reconsideration of how daily entries are consumed for bosses and Party Quests in.

    At the moment, entries are consumed immediately upon entering content, regardless of whether the run is actually completed. This can feel extremely punishing in situations where players disconnect, crash, experience server instability, have a party member disconnect unexpectedly, or fail a run before completion.

    For example:

    • Disconnecting during a boss run can completely waste a daily entry
    • Expensive entry items like Eye of Fire can be lost without reward
    • Party Quest runs can be consumed even if the group falls apart instantly (specifically cwkpq, where a failed first run resulted in some sort of bug causing the 2nd run entry to get us kicked out immidaetly by just clicking on the NPC, during expedetion registration. This resulted in 2 runs being counted and crimson hearts lost without any reward or completion whatsoever)
    • Players with unstable internet or technical issues are punished disproportionately
    I believe a much healthier system would be for entries to only count upon successful completion of the boss/PQ, or at the very least upon clearing a major stage/checkpoint. This would make the system feel far less frustrating while still preserving progression limits and anti-abuse measures.

    This is something I’ve seen many players quietly frustrated about over time, especially in longer or more expensive content. Losing a run because of factors outside your control feels bad enough already — consuming the daily entry on top of that just adds unnecessary frustration.

    I don’t think players are asking for “more free runs,” but rather a system that feels fairer and respects players’ time and resources.

    Possible adjustments:

    • Only consume entries upon successful completion
    • Refund entries if the run ends within a short timeframe due to disconnects
    • Restore consumed entry items if the boss is not cleared
    • Add reconnect grace periods for PQs and bosses
    I think a change like this would be very well received by a large portion of the community and would improve the overall gameplay experience considerably.

    This system can be abused very easily.
    What is stopping me from running a boss 50 times a day by disconnecting before it dies and only leaving one char to collect the loot?
    Also I don't see how is this suppose to solve the loss of eof for example.
    Failed runs are part of the game, and runs should fail sometimes if people die etc. This lets every mistake be avoided because you just reconnect and try again.
    There are feedbacks that target the DC issue more directly and I feel like they are a lot more relevant solution to runs failing because of DC.
    And if the run failed because of non DC issue, it should continue to fail

    This can be solved by having a checkpoint say halfway through the pq/BOSS sort of like a point of no return. this will prohibit the abuse youre describing. say for instance once you get passsed zaks 1st body phase even if you dc, the run still counts. its happened many times that my client has crashed before the first arm is killed which makes it really frustrating.
