Gellerhead shield buff

Hello gms. I would like to propose that the gellerhead shield be made 10 slots. This shield is absolutely gorgeous and it is a shame that it cannot compete with maple shields. For being a shield that can only be acquired once and is untradeable, I believe it deserves to be 10 slots for the few who can perfect this amazing shield or atleast have it comparable to maple shields.

 

Thought of this the other day. While a small buff, it would also make shield mastery more appealing.

Kind of wish there was a painful repeatable quest or if it dropped from bosses though..

 

It doesn't really matter if it was repeatable, people wont waste scrolls on a 7 slot. The shield represents hard work and dedication to reach 120. Giving a one time chance to make an amazing shield that isn't tradeable is not that bad.

 

i wasted scrolls on it turns out even a palette was better than it

+1 that, was kinda surprised when i saw that this shield only has 7 slots. Its untradeable, and practically one of a kind, so really, giving it 10 slots would just give that 1 try scrolling for new players to make a really awesome starting shield. I'd compare it to chaosing Pilgrim Hats, you get one chance to maybe make a gear that will go with you a long way, or waste some scrolls into the void.

Definitely supported. We need to see more shield users around! I think it's a staple in any adventure style game to have one hand weapon and shield users. Also, since it's untradeable, it won't affect the market at all.

 

It can still affect the Maple Shield market, I think? However I doubt it will have any major negative impact, so I also really like this idea. Maple Shields look so silly compared to all the cool shield out there, so I'd be happy to see someone using Gellerhead instead.

 

It will barely affect the shield market because only heroes and paladins can get it. Still mages/ low level bandits / low level warriors will require maple shields

Now I have only one last thing to comment, not because I'm against the idea but because I like to see things from the other side: what if someone later comes and asks for a similar buff on something? For example me suggesting a 50 ATT boost on the Eviscerator?

eviscerator is not one of a kind and is obtainable multiple times. Gellerhead is a one time item received upon receiving the guardian skill. Completely different scenario

 

Hm... It's difficult to argue for something you actually don't agree with.
Now, I hope this gets implemented. Later maybe I will create a thread about the Eviscerator

 

Well, one thing is for sure: one shield, for each class (shadower and warriors), should be buffed. If not, what is the pourpose of those items?

 

That shield I already npc'd on two characters? What a shame.

Because of its base stats, even 8 slots could make it pretty comparable. I would actually LOVE to see shield mastery get touched and have purpose to make 1h the tankier option that it's meant to be.
