A year ago today, you gave me an excruciatingly painful lesson. No words could even begin describing it. But I guess it wasn't easy for you too. It was a lesson that till today I remember very clearly, so that I won't make the same mistakes again in my next (and hopefully) final relationship. For months I tried to look for closure but after awhile I learned that sometimes, we don't always get the closures we need and we have to learn to accept reality as it is, so that we can move on with life and not live in someone's shadow.

So I guess I could thank you for giving me a lesson that I needed and deserved. For all those times when you were unhappy, I'm sorry. In any case, it has been a great ~6.5 years with you. Thank you for being you, and for being my pillar of strength.
