The rules on this server are not near perfect. The hope is for people to have some decency. Guess it is time to 1) borrow a sock from a friend, 2) report said friend for hinting at rwt 3) keep the sock. Because obviously that’s ethical. Maybe I should double check with Plato.

 

gotta say tho all my disdain for players weaponizing server rules and wasting staff time just to be petty at others aside, y'all ain't doing any favors by mass harassing a staff member for no reason lmao

The "c-word" is unacceptable, but calling people "dogs" should also be unacceptable. (Like really? Resorting to name-calling, when you guys literally reported people for name-calling, albeit was a more sexist term but the intentions are pretty much the same.) We won't bite cause you'll just report us for it, and some of us already know to be better than that and whatever shit you're trying to do (instigating shit).

I get it, the GMs is punishing certain people for good reasons, harrassment and hate-speech aren't jokes and should be taken very seriously. I support that 100% but I think there are particular toxic behaviors that are not being addressed on the other side. Like it's just being let go for whatever reason, people don't want to be snitches or just cause they didn't say some racial or sexist term. Yea, sure they didn't say anything scandalous explicitly, but their motives are toxic. I would never call weaponizing rules or hunting people down as wholesome behavior.

For the people who don't try to even bother acknowledging their own toxicity, it's obvious that they act in their own personal interest and not for the better of the community. I mean if they wanted to make the community better, they would have addressed that they shouldn't be dragging innocent bystanders into their petty drama, it shouldn't have happened AT ALL. They would have addressed that weaponizing the server rules is also toxic in itself. Just cause they weren't punished, doesn't mean they were in the right.

Yes, I know both sides have done wrong, I am not blind because I have friends in both sides and I fully capable of distinguishing right from wrong. But I think it's incredibly unfair that this particular side takes no responsibility for their toxicity.

Making it clear, I haven't blamed the staff for anything, I don't think they should be harrassed for handling things a certain way either. In fact, I just think that this particular guild should be able to address it themselves, but it's quite clear from the way they are acting that they aren't capable of it.
