i really think people should solve the problem instead of giving out alternative maps. Maps like GS5 really isn't good, that 100 exp more in the long really makes a diff.
Whilst gs2 far outranks all other spots for clerics, for other classes I think FoG is a very viable alternative. I went there with my priest with max hs/sr to leech my archer, and within maybe 20 minutes had a party of 6(!) going at it for at least an hour, with everyone loving the exp. FoG's spawn is possibly the best in the game, you can easily have 3-4 people on the map and still have monsters to spare. If I leech at gs2 it's way slower, because the spawn is terrible, and the tiny map/shitty spawn makes parties larger than 2 completely unviable.
Well, I trained my own Cleric at Cookie Zombies and Soul Teddies, and it's a bit slower than GS2, yes, but also a lot less boring. Soul Teddies also works level 7X because of the high spawn there (as Robb pointed out). Honestly, this is why there was a server event: People think only GS2 is a possibility.
Sounds delicious! Interesting that soul teddies have a decent spawn now, I remember during the chairs event being very underwhelmed at the spawn so I gave up lol. I need a kandiva so that may prove to be a good spot after all.
Try Zombies, they are better in my opinion. Plus, they give easy mesos and they're funny to grind at.
I've had pretty good fortune with gs2 maps whether finding them or partying. Sometimes i'll get rejected but usually the ones who i party with already have a semi hard time killing them efficiently by themselves. (im a priest) I dont mind parties, i think it makes it easier and less stressful to find maps or to take breaks/repot during training. To me, i believe that some of those you listed are also fair game for anyone to claim. For instance, any instance that your character leaves the map -- whether it's to repot or check your store. As someone trying to find a map, they don't know how long you've been gone and they wont know when you'll be back. This map LOOKS empty, it IS empty, it is mine. In this situation you lost your map. But it's easy to fix as you can have a friend hold it while you run your errands, take a shit, or take a break too. It's still your map if you are still there esp if you just went to pee real quick or refill water. Should take no longer than a minute. As long as your little person is still there I think that keeps the map in your ownership. Just come back soon bc if all maps are taken, i WILL come back to see if you are actually still using it. If you've been afk for more than 15 minutes , are not responding to my all chats, all loot already disappeared, and ive been through every channel several times already.... i will 110% take it. But because im a nice person, if you come back soon i'll give you your map back or we can party. tdlr; map is yours if map is empty or if person clearly/obviously afk.
You know there are so many different places to train than Ghost Ship 2. Maybe, rather than waiting for eight consecutive hours, you could find another map to train on.
personally, i think GS2 ruins the game. i say get rid of the ghost ship and make clerics walk around MP3 taking dmg, etc. it would also help with people who bot there as well. all clerics have to do is CPQ (stand in one spot and heal chronos) and then bam at 51 stand in one spot and heal slimys for 30 levels+. where's the sense of adventure in that? smh.
And yet another option is camps in sharenian (if they are open again). So I really don't see any reason to be desperate over training in gs2. FREE TRAINING SPOTS FOR EVERYONE!!!
MP3 is pretty good, you just need someone/training partner to take top two plats and someone else take bottom to keep up the spawn. It's good for ranged players also since there's so many platforms to stand and attack from.
