That's actually always been the policy for rewarps, and from what I've seen it's always the policy that the GMs have followed. It's just as the server population grew, very few of the newer members knew that and were constantly asking for rewarps for any and every reason. In order to clarify the rules for everyone, the "Updated" re-warp policy was posted.
Yes, but it has already been established that there is no favoritism shown in regards to rewarps, and that all requests are handled chronologically. On whether or not to give rewarps, this server does because it is known to have random mass dc's, and would not like to have a large population of players from any given region to not complete boss runs for something that is not their fault.
I just wanted to add something because this has been a constant issue when I go through ~gms. People send multiple ~gms per party and it is very very frustrating. It makes me mess up the order and accidentally skip people because I find that I'm going back and forth. I cannot stress enough, please please please only send ONE ~gm per party. Also on principle, I do not answer ~gms that say "help pls" or "is anybody online". It is a waste of my time to do so and it is also not my responsibility to make a detailed report. It is especially frustrating because I make as much time as I can out of my schedule to get on and I sometimes only have 10-30min intervals to get through everything. I don't know if my fellow staff members do this, but I know I for one will only answer detailed ~gms that clearly state the problem. Like Alyo mentioned above, if I have extra time then I might bother asking them what their issue is, but more often than not I'm going to assume that it's either too much of a hassle to say so they should write a thread on the forums or it wasn't important enough to warrant any details. If you get "ignored," I humbly ask all of you to please reflect on your ~gms before jumping straight to bias and favoritism. Did you guys all do everything to the best of your ability so that we could assist you? If that was the case and there was still blatant favoritism, contact an admin with evidence. EDIT: Just wanted to add, please make sure your entire party is ready when you ~gm. It really wastes our time when we come to you and you guys aren't even ready and are still scrambling to figure stuff out. Figure everything out first then get one person to ~gm please.
GMs will only care if a lot of people starts to complaining over the same matter or some malfunction in the game client itself. Otherwise it is likely to be ignored like a lot of posts are. Generally some of them think it is a waste of time to 'favor' for example you to make something work while most others are not complaining. I also had your problem before but they I moved to another server. I have not been on this server for months now. Just get on forums some time to chat with old buddies while I am out with my phone on hand. I am sorry if you guys felt offended, but so note that not everyone is the same. Certainly some does a good job and some did not. To be honest favoritism is pretty normal in real life as well. If everyone were treated equal we probably united the whole planet and become more advanced with technology and other stuff rather than doing stupid copyrights and build a bunch of sweatshops and other dumb crap all over the world.
I think people need to take a step back and remember that these are people taking time out of there lives to provide you a free service. If a big company like nexon with a dedicated team can't get things perfect then can you really expect these people to do it whilst also balancing there own personal lives? Complaints like this seem a little spoilt or whiney imo.
I think that the majority of people here know that GM's are real people with real lifes, but I don't see what it has to do with the topic of gm favoratism. I do on the other hand belive that theres a lot of issues regarding rewarps that may or may not have people believing gms are bias because they personaly feel like they never get rewarped. As many of the staff members have said earlier there a whole bunch of minor issues that might cause errors in the way they deal with rewarps. I personally feel like a lot of these cases could be prevented by a simple whisper saying your message is not specific enough or that your rewarp doesnt fall within the rewarp policy guidelines. I've seen a good amount of notice's lately saying that gm's are warping and doing refunds which is great. In my opinon if a gm is rewarping after a server dc they should always put a notice out so that people are aware that theres actually a gm online warping people, this will lead to less people afking after they sent their gm msg, because sometimes you just don't know if its going to take 5minutes or 4hours before you get a respons from your gm messages. I do realize that this means more work for gms but I think it would ultimately lead to a better understanding and respect for gms. (I also think that it seems to be quite understaffed in game lately)
Maybe I would expect my parents in providing assistance towards problems I am experiencing or I might blame them for the cause of it. But I understand that there are many things that had happened, are out of the control of my parents, and that just because they are capable of doing so, I think that I shouldn't always rely on them in solving my problems which aren't caused by them, whether they choose or choose not to help me.
people might think gms shouldnt rewarp anybody and it would solve this whole issue but unfortunatly I dont see that as a viable option as of now, since theres a lot of dcs everyday and a lot of them are regional as well. Hence if gm stop warping certain regions will fail more boss runs than others due to regional dc. I belive that they will probably stop rewarping people if and when the server is stable enough for that.
Dank memes cant melt steel dreams. I think eventually once new source is out, many of our issues will go away. But random dcing thanks to ISP issues isnt one I forsee fixing itself
Yea, since it is client-side, not server-related, so there will still be people complaining and wanting rewarps.
That doesn't mean we will be rewarping for it though, which is what the other posters were mentioning.
Yea, I know, just saying that no matter what you do or what measures you implement, dc's are unavoidable, and there will still be people wanting/asking for rewarps even though they don't qualify. AKA there will be spam forever.
