98 and 99 attack doesnt even include the godly system at all, there's no reason whatsoever for those items to be buffed. And it's likely those players were aware that it was possible to get up to 103 attack.

It matters in the sense of "keeping up with the Jones" for DrKs vs Heroes. A half dozen (or more) of the strongest heroes got a free weapon attack and the strongest DrKs are left out in the cold. There's an arguement there, but I agree that they should have been aware their items were well below perfect.

The fault is with the player base in this sense though. When royals first opened, Dark Knights were very popular and showa was one of the most gacha'd areas.

The lack of Dark Knights now, decreases the amount of people gacha'ing Showa, so the availability of skis decrease.

That has more to do with the balance, or perception of balance (due to secondary items) between the various gachas than the common or uncommon classes. The number of NLS and bowmasters in the server is very closely comparable, yet multiple times more people gach at kerning than henesys. When was the last time you saw a bwg from gacha?

Anyone who had a "Godly" +8 or +9 clean, perfect, or on the way to being perfectly scrolled Sky Ski got an upgrade, same as with other weapons.

I know that I'm arguing for a lost cause here but let me point out one more thing:
Any item regardless of att could've been affected by the godly system, just that it didn't add anything to att but to another stat. Now from my experience with the godly system that actually happens quite often, you get say a top
that has godly w.def but below average str. Or a ski with +1 to accuracy but no att bonus.
And any item that was affected by the godly system (which you can't tell just from the stats) would've had a higher chance to get a bonus att if the godly system were +5 all along and not +4.
I've read before that the chance for any godly stat 0~5 are the same so with the old system, there was a 1/5 chance to not get a bonus to att even if being affected. And in the new system it's 1/6.

Now I'd understand if the point of the recompensation was to only include players who thought their weapon was the highest att possible. But then why recompensate players with +8? And then why recompensate level 100 weapons such as cravens, who also were never perfect to begin with. You say that for dks, we should've known that 103/104 was possible. But the same could be said about level 100 weapon users, they knew their items weren't the highest possible att weapon for their class, because there are better alternatives (like dragon sleeve instead of craven).

Overall I think the only other fair solution would've been to really only recompensate players who had +9 on a lv. 110 weapon (unless there's a better alternative, like say st for heroes because of the speed).

Yes, I can see where you are coming from. The decision for compensating +8 as well, was posted in the feedback section.

OK, you've lost me - are you trying to say that Sky Skis shouldn't have been included in the upgrade? On one side of the equation, you're comparing one weapon with itself (Sky Ski), and on the other, you're comparing one weapon with a different one (Craven with Dragon Sleve).

He's saying that the rarity of perfect versions of the items should have come in to play when deciding who to compensate. A 101 sky skii is much rarer than a 110 st even though the ST is perfect and the sky skii is not. He's also saying that the argument for not compensating non-godly skiis could/should be applied to weapons that are not technically end-game, like level 100 weapons and that if less than perfect skiis weren't upgraded, less than lv 110 weapons/ST shouldn't have been upgraded either.

It's once again a solid argument, but the counter argument depends on what the intention of the staff was in buffing the +8/+9 weapons.

The rarity of "Godly" Sky Skis is a result of player choice, and I don't think people should be asking us to make allowances for something like that.

If the intention of the staff was only to affect the people who's perfect items were no longer perfect (it was) then this makes sense. "If the intention of the staff was fairness across different classes and different weapon types, rarity should have come into play" is essentially a sour grapes discussion over heroes getting nice things and (99.99% of) DrKs getting left out.

I'm not saying 99 atk skiis should have been buffed. If anything, I like the reverse of the argument that "cravens shouldn't have been buffed because they aren't perfect either." I'm just trying to restate the argument more clearly.

Unrelated note: it's not really an individual "player choice" that makes sky skiis rare, but rather a "community misperception" of NLC being far and away the best gacha.
I've actually seen new players told "if you gach outside of kerning/nlc/maaaaybe shrine you're wasting your NX" which is untrue, but then those same players turn around and repeat it without actually knowing whether the statement is true or not.

But it's the individual player's choice to believe or not to believe 'nlc is the best place for gachapon'.

Also things like this hit an equilibrium. Once someone gacha's 104 attack skis, and it ends up selling for 5b+ then people will start to gacha at Showa for that big bank + leaves + dkhanjars.

Showa is no way the worst place to gachapon, it is definitely top 3-5.

Personally I think the gachas are very well balanced and it makes little difference where you choose to go. I say this every time the question is asked - but I'm drowned out by four or five other people answering otherwise. It's really NOT a new players choice when they're being told something by five people that have played the game much longer than they have, and to claim otherwise or to expect them to believe otherwise is foolish. Thus my statement that "it's not player choice, it's community misperception" (or bias, if you prefer that term)

From my personal experience, showa could possibly be the best gach for money. The only reason I dont gach there is because I need white scrolls. I really dont understand why noone gaches there.

They got the same thing as any other weapon,
I don't know the max stats for skis but if you look at the first post it says everything with 2 or less from perfect got an extra attack.

People tell me all the time that NLC is the best gacha, yet I only gach at showa for leaves. People also tell me several other things that I choose to not believe. It's the player's life and ability to choose, its not like we are putting them at gunpoint and forcing them to gach at NLC.

I remember when I first joined royals, every single person that I asked said nlc/shrine are the best gaches, theres no point in going to any other ones. If you are new to a server you are going to trust what people say. There is a reason why Skis are so rare (100+ atk) It's because everyone has this perception that nlc and shrine are far greater than every other gach, and this is incorrect. Gach is mainly based off luck of course, but almost all gaches are at least somewhat balance. Kerning is good for the pgc/sleeves, CBD is good for the BVM and rac masks, Showa is good for plenty of reasons. People need to stop saying that nlc/shrine are the best gaches then maybe skis will become less rare.
