To be honest, I was born with a problem called High Functioning Autism. It means I used to have social difficulties when I was a kid, and today I have problems with work, studies, relationships and so on. I'm a shy person and I become nervous when talking to strangers I dont know, and sometimes I'm not good at some social situations.

I hope you understand how this is related to the forum drama in the past, and it wasnt intentional.

What do you know about this disability?

I know Zofran was immediately banned and won't be able to address this thread any further, but I wanted to make a comment for those who may come across this thread in the future. "High Functioning Autism" is not an official medical term or diagnosis, but is a phrase that has become commonly understood to represent a mild form of autism spectrum disorder (ASD) known as Asperger's Syndrome. To those that don't know, ASD is a developmental disability that affects a person's communication abilities and social skills--usually appearing at a very young age. And as the name suggests, ASD can manifest in each person in many different ways.

I don't want to even remotely imply casting doubt over Zofran's diagnostic claim of High Functioning Autism. If anything, I want to discourage the community from engaging in armchair diagnosis ourselves as it is not our place to do so. I am not a medical professional. And if you are a medical professional, then you probably understand the fallacies of such behavior better than anyone else. If you believe that you may have ASD, you should seek out a professional psychiatrist to receive an official, medical diagnosis.

In any case, I bring this up because it has become increasingly common for people to diagnose themselves with various forms of ASD. Especially in the internet space, people engage in this practice to justify rudeness, toxicity, and other forms of generally antisocial behavior. This is dangerous because it eliminates personal accountability, spreads misinformation about ASD, and most importantly, directly exacerbates stigma and discrimination against people with disabilities. So I wanted to clarify some misunderstandings about ASD and emphasize the importance of disability rights before any conversation or snide comments ensue about this topic.
