I draw/design clothes and outfits and get it made (since I don't have the necessary equipment in order to do it myself). It's always been a hobby of mine since I was a little girl and day by day I've improved a lot! I've always wanted to create my thread showing my previous work so I'll do that as soon as I get home GOT SO MANY TO SHOW !!
Looking forward to it! I like to catch up on old movies and read, and also laze around with my dogs. :3
I used to play the Diabolo(Chinese YoYo) for around 4+ years, managed to get someone from the city council to sponsor me and purchase the current Diabolo that I own, that cost them around 130$. And then I was performing in small events or just entertaining kids of families that have low economy/single parent families. Was a lot of fun but over the years I stopped doing it because I didn't have enough time for it. I still play the Diabolo whenever I want to impress friends and stuff. Not sure if its a known board game, but I used to play Talisman for hours upon hours. As people grew older and had stuff to do, the hobby kind of died. I still love board games though, just don't have people to play with. Btw for y'all playing DnD, you rock. Never managed to be imaginative enough to get into the franchise but I adore y'all managing to dedicate so much time to cubes, paper, and a pencil.
Thanks a lot.... just spent the last 30 mins watching drone videos and now I want one. This guy is chasing cruise ships out to sea with his drone. Another guy flew above the clouds. Another dude fly 8km and landed the drone on his house lol. Hobbies? I guess maple and vodka? Don't really do much.
That's great! Allways happy to see more people interested. You can get a hubsan x4 mini online for like $35-40 which is an amazing flying little quadcopter if you just want to play around with and learn how to fly one. That's what I started out with and just continued to tinker and replace parts on it.
Still watching videos with my wife. This guy I found has a FPV jet RC. He's hitting like 480kph found a Chinese channel as well, this guy flies his FPV plane 200 kilometers on a single battery charge. Pretty cool stuff
Ahah there is some pretty awesome stuff out there to watch. To make flights like those legally you need an amateur radio license and in some cases, a piolets license too. I managed to grab mine a few years back and as an added bonus have been putting it on resumes ever since. I could not even imagine trying to fly that far right now though. Crashing with your expensive transmitters 150 km+ out would be a nightmare trying to retrieve again. If you're looking at videos iforce2d on youtube is one of the hidden gems for people who love tinkering with stuff. He's really into fpv flying as well as some other electronic stuff. I'm going to try making some $50 night vision goggles he built this summer for fun:
Spoiler Nature: I never pass up the opportunity to walk in the woods, go canoeing, stargaze, eat in the garden, etc. A minimum of 30 minutes outside during the day and another 30 at night, even if it's hot/cold/raining/snowing/Armageddon, because that's what makes life for me. My eyes are instantly drawn to the sky when I go outside. Tarantulas: I keep them. I have two at the moment. I've come to prefer them to cats, even. I spend a decent chunk of my free time cooing over tarantula pictures like they're cat pictures. Science: Pretty much only read science nonfiction and watch documentaries. My Twitter is 99% space program and aurora photography accounts. I'm that person who nitpicks the bad science in sci-fi movies. Carry a Geiger counter in my purse for fun, etc. Fashion: I'm a clothes horse. I'm really into makeup, and especially nail polish. I sometimes do other people's makeup and clothes shopping for them, at their request. I'm one of those women that takes two hours to get ready. Games: I love old sci-fi survival horror games; or, really, anything with that ambiance. The first Fallout game was the best one. Food: I cook and bake quite a bit, but what I really love is getting dressed up and going to restaurants. I'm particularly into Thai, Indian/Pakistani, Arab, and New Mex-Mex. And experimenting at home: try Kalamata olives and Nutella. Just try it. You'll thank me. Writing: I'm a lifelong writer, and have made some money with my work. I have a finished but unpublished cyberpunk novel. My current goal is to write the next "great Northern novel," à la The Call of the Wild, Hatchet, Julie of the Wolves etc. Yoga and meditation: Not as difficult to learn as people tend to think, and completely worth doing. Plants: I'm a notorious plant killer, but decided to try to get better (after killing three poor, defenseless orchids). I currently have a gardenia, a spearmint, and a ghost pepper that are still alive! I also do some weaving, cross stitch, and beading, and am learning to knit. Very slowly. I like creating "art" with watercolor/gouache, chalk pastels, and charcoal.
My favorite hobby is gardening. It makes you relax and its a stress buster, it's been reported that it reduces the chance of stroke. Heavy gardening not only maintain your weight but also keeps you away from heart diseases and controlls high blood pressure. It is good for health. Now I want to make weed barriers, I found this idea on https://bestyardproducts.com/ this will control invasive weeds and improve the health of plants. And what about you? Do you have garden?
