edit: i also noticed palmtree also posted something similar so check their post out: https://royals.ms/forum/threads/tokens-of-teamwork-hp-quest-revamp.193277/ I've read a couple things in the GM blog that have hinted at new ways to gain HP, and I feel that the idea of tokens being exchanged for rewards similar to the HP quest have probably been explored, but I wanted to expand a bit further on the idea. Currently, these are the PQs that give tokens, excluding the seasonal ones like Maple Tree Hill PQ that gave tokens: Ludibrium Maze Party Quest (1 Token of Teamwork) Henesys-, Kerning City-, Ellin Forest Party Quests (2 Tokens of Teamwork) Ludibrium-, Orbis-, Romeo & Juliet Party Quests (3 Tokens of Teamwork) I'd like to suggest that PPQ also be reworked so that players of higher level can join and earn tokens. This would also help those who are around this level range actually be able to form parties. Suggestion has already been made here: https://royals.ms/forum/threads/remove-level-cap-of-ppq.188750/ If tokens could be traded for Chaos Elixirs or Elixirs of Creation, there would be a huge incentive for players to PQ as they are levelling, and even when they are of high level. Possible drawbacks would include muling to gain extra tokens, but certain PQs make it difficult to mule, like R&J. I don't have any perfect solutions for that in mind. I do think that EPQ could receive a boost in tokens because it's significantly more hard to finish that PQ than it is to do HPQ or KPQ, but it isn't as involved as LPQ, OPQ, and R&J. Lastly, I wish that there were better untradeable NX rewards. There simply isn't anything really cute or cool that is better than anything in the Cash Shop that incentivizes people to grind for tokens for those equips over just spending NX or RP, other than the Crown of Flowers. Waterworks Cape is nostalgic, but it's very niche and it's not super stylish. The Baseball cap is pretty nice but you could spend RP to get the yellow or pink alternative already (this is the only one I have wanted to trade tokens for). The rest of the RP is pretty small and hard to see, so it's not worth grinding so many tokens for them. Please give us more awesome cosmetics to do PQs for!
this suggestion deserves more reads/discussions, I honestly think it's brilliant in combining both making PQs alive again as well as gaining HP which has been a tough struggle for a few of my friends who really likes playing the game, but somehow decided to play an unwashed NL/BM as first character and are now struggling at level 140+
that suggestion HAS to be implanted! :3 I know there's a new update concerning hp quests coming up next patch though. #hype
From the thread you linked, I think it's also important to point out ilyssia's ideas: read here. My semi-response to that is here if anyone cares. I fully agree with releasing the level limit on PPQ. This would be helpful for quest medal enthusiasts as well. I recall begging friends to mule me into PPQ with their forgotten sub-100 characters because randoms didn't want to deal with doing the quests. That was not fun. I would like to see some specific NX suggestions people have in mind as rewards!
This suggestion is a great way to encourage and promote active gameplay while reviving PQs that are honestly dead right now. From what I have seen, most parties would have to mule 1-3 slots to even get a party going for the bigger party quests like LPQ, OPQ and EPQ. In conjunction to this thread, GPQ should also give token of teamwork to further incentivize players to attempt this party quest with their guild mates.
here is some token reward ideas: hp quest catalysts. these are items like stimulators, that would have a chance to improve the hp reward of your hp potion when you turn one in with your ruel quest items rotating/event/seasonal/changing nx/mounts/chairs only found as token rewards invisible medal, invisible pet, invisible pet name tag, invisible guild covers bundles of seasonal event items (x tokens gets you 200 snow, etc) transformation potions, monster sacks guild smegas (they display your guild emblem and name after your ign), for recruiting, showing off, celebrating, and saves some characters expedition/pq smegas. custom color/text/icon smegas that say something like "zakum expedition!" (your text here). stands out and saves you some characters bosshunter stimulators and scrolls for making/scrolling improved bh set items for hp buffs (no i will not stop mentioning this, its a good idea and great for ppl wanting a full set HP effect boost. bosshunter cloak recipe. a bh cape doesn't exist. broken glasses/eye of horus/goddess wrist etc. costs as many tokens that you'd earn from doing the pq the required number of times, so you can gamble your tokens off to try to get another of each? random monster card random reward from a list (like gach) eye/skin/hair coupons chat/label rings cs effects i would seriously love if maple weapons didn't drop from everything all the time, and elemental wands didn't rain from gach, and they were only token rewards. i think this would be way better for the economy, but not gonna happen. super premium, expiring items such as: GPQ warp scroll. double click to instantly warp to gpq campsite semi permanent protector rock earrings (the cute purple ones you mine inside gpq to stay alive) cider barrel. allows you to carry lots more ciders in a single slot (set-up tab) alacaster's scroll ark: magic cylinder that lets you carry 16 slots of any scrolls, outside of your use tab. (can pick them up from alacaster if it expires). set-up item, double click to open/drag alacaster's pouch: can carry summoning rocks, magic rocks, magic seeds, and all-cure potions. set-up item, double click to open/drag alacaster's traveling ark: magic cylinder that stores town scrolls, as well as other traveling items you supply it. set-up item, double click to open/drag Rene's quiver. additional slots for arrows. expires. Pedro's bandolier. additional slots for bullets/capsules Arec's sash: let's you carry two more sets of throwing stars expires. gelts/graham pies for a steeeep price anvil service. (make nx cover out of existing equipment. expires after x time. tOkEnSiNk)
+1 on pretty much all of that! Any buff that makes PQs being played more by more veteran players, is great! These feedback threads are 1 year old now but it is still as relevant now. Tokens should be buffed, I would love to have several scrolls there in some sort of random cube that costs tokens. For instance, this cube costing like 200 tokes or so and containing at random chances scrolls like Belt, Ring, Eye Eqp scrolls. This would maybe revive PQs, at least add maybe 1 or 2 more players, right now its really dead (only PPQ is played daily by enough players).
Since we currently have flower crown from tokens, which is an untradeable and recolored version of what we could get from gm events, could we get more such NX equips redeemable from tokens? For example, a different color Janus sword or ice flower. Since it's untradeable, it will also not affect their current market value. Of course, they can cost a lot of tokens like the flower crown (or even more), perhaps 1000 token for weapon NX?
There is an extremely valid point to be made about the lack of NX WEAPONS in the pool since the only one currently available is exclusively a one-handed sword cover (literally have NEVER seen it in the wilderness!!!). The NX needs to be more eye-catching and weapons are perfect for that. (I do think the watch is underrated though, more people should get that and wear it!) Some unreleased NX weapons reminiscent of the PQs that could work: (Jiggly Slime, Block Friends, Wonky's Glow-in-the-Dark Leaf, Dangerous Medicine Bottle. Someone come up with one for HPQ please!) Obviously these should not be easy to obtain at all, maybe 1000 tokens?
Anniversary PQ will most likely be giving out tokens again. It's the perfect time to introduce some token NX items. Just saying!
AGREE please also consider lifting level cap for ariant pq and giving tokens. you can restrict players to only using first job skills or even normal attack. it’s such a fun pq and a waste of content because it’s inaccessible outside of the tiny level range. party quests are so slept on in general because rewards are insignificant/niche or are capped at a certain level. they’re so fun, promote teamwork and let players enjoy low level content. i really think that reworking party quests will make the server so much more enticing. while we’re here, whatever happened to CPQ2? can we make the exp reasonable so it’s not completely dead content
Are you sure? CPQ1/2/PPQ/EPQ are regularly populated (it's just not Covid type populated if that's what you were hoping for) LPQ seems less done compared to years ago but I attribute that to skill restrictions being put into place, making it less likely for high levels to help organize it. OPQ/LMPQ has always been dead & unpopular even in old GMS. And MPQ just needs to be reworked to fit between PPQ and EPQ. I made a suggestion here:
CPQ 2 is not close to populated. NO ONE does cpq2… when’s the last time anyones found people in ch1 cpq2 or seen any smegas to recruit? o.o it gives awful exp. Covid was pre nerf. CPQ1 is still alive “post” Covid bc the exp rate is desirable. PPQ and EPQ also give desirable exp/earrings so while it’s not populated, you will occasionally find some people in ch1. OPQ and LMPQ were also pretty lit in GMS. I OPQ’ed everyday after school and it was hard to get into a party. It was not as crowded as LPQ but definitely populated. also the skill restriction has nothing on why high levels won’t organize LPQ…you can let us genesis in there and it won’t change the fact that the rewards are not worth the time to most people.
Every now and then I recruit for my guild in KPQ/CPQ1/CPQ2/PPQ. From recruiting in the lobby, making my own low lv chars just to grind for fun, and watching lower level guildies level up, CPQ2 is fairly done and has people. It's a big misconception thinking or stating no one does it. When CPQ2 had received its exp nerf and attention was being diverted towards OPQ, more people were CPQ2ing than OPQing. I used to LPQ every now and then and recruit while doing so but gave up on LPQ altogether after the skill restrictions. Some people I talked to have told me they don't even bother because they don't want to go through the low level pqs using basic attacks. Using high level skills in the pqs gave it slightly more appeal/fun. Also, lack of MW20 is annoying.
PPQ was uncapped in Update 85! Ariant PQ would be a little more difficult as people would most likely one hit the mobs and not be able to catch them. Aside from that Ariant PQ is also not pure „harmonic“ teamwork as it’s PVP just like Carnival PQs which also don’t reward Tokens of Teamwork. We are still looking for further reward ideas to be obtained with Tokens of Teamwork. They don’t have to be NX. Feel free to submit what ever comes to your mind. HP Gain was indirectly added to PQs via the new Questline „An adventurer’s Assignment“. List of current rewards: A draft with rewards made by @ilyssia for orientation (not confirming anything of this goes live)
For Ariant PQ, i would suggest making it so the max you can hit on mobs is 400. They have 1kish hp and need >30% hp to catch. When i have done Ariant pq tournaments with guild members, 2 hitting 400 was ideal to catch quickly, one hitting 800-1000 would delay the catch for some reason. This might be the only way to allow any level participate. For the Chaos scroll pieces, a fun idea can be to make a piece D, or use Piece C, or a "black duct tape" that drop from bonus stage loot boxes/mobs in party quest bonus stages. This piece can be the only tradable piece. Kind of like white scroll's duct tape. Slightly buff clean goddess wristband wa/ma. A altaire earrings scroll like those examples shown A slime shoes scroll like those example shown Buff the stats given for adding marbles to the eye of horus. As of now the only reason to complete angry and enraged pirate lord in PPQ is for the quests. These should be buffed by EXP given upon completion and drops/rewards from pirate lord. And possibly make it harder to complete. For example levels 70-80 do normal ppq, 80-90 do angry, 90+ do enraged. Add a time limit to ppq so you have to do it quickly or fail. Increase the all potions drop rates from lmpq I think thats it for now im gonna deep dive to what ive said in the past and what others have suggested to compile here.
