hi there ! ill be happy if you could help me little Job: bucc Level:32 Current HP:1215 Current MP:1219 Current Base Int:152 Int Gear Total Int:200 HP Goal:19K Level for HP Goal: around 135 i am trying to understand if I need to had more int or is that ok ? is MP washing is just taking the mp and move into HP so what is HP washing ? ty for the help
some basic knowledge that I know: HP washing: Every 10 int (inclusive of int gear) will yield you 1 Mp per level up. in math form: Base Int: 100 + Int gear 30 = 130 Int. per level up, you gain 13 mp. Base Int: 100 + Int gear 29 = 129 Int. per level up, you gain only 12 mp. (always round down to the nearest 10) at this point, you can do the following. Add level-up stats into HP. then use APR to - MP (make sure you calculate your minimum MP for Bucc) then you will have 1 stat to allocate to your desired stats. if you feel you need more MP to wash. you can use add to Int. MP washing: Every 10 base int gives you 1 MP. Base Int: 100 + Int gear = 130 Int. per level up stats in MP you only gain 10 MP. (disregard the int gear stats) at this point: Add stats into MP, use APR - MP (add to desired stats). Confused? let me explain. For example, Nightlord class. Hp washing: Level up in general gives 14 mp (without int). if you got 130 int (100 bases + 30 from gear) you gain an additional 13 mp. Total gain: 14 mp from level up + 13 from (int stats + int gear) = 27mp - 14 minimum mp = 13mp to wash. Unable to wash as per wash requires 14mp. MP washing. Level up, in general, gives 14mp (without int), if you got 130 Int ( 100 bases int + 30 from gear) you gain 13 mp same as above. use the level-up stats to add into MP. it gives you an additional 10 mp from your 100 base int stats). Total gain: 14 mp from level up + 13 from (int stats + int gear) + 10 (from base int stats) = 37mp. - 14 minimum mp for level = 23 mp to wash. able to wash as 23 mp - 14 mp = 9mp left. so you gain average of 18 hp per wash for nightlord. If you use all 5 fresh level up stats into MP for MP washing that's 13 + 5 x 10 = a total MP gain of 63. you will be able to wash HP 4 times with this amount of MP gained Pros of MP washing: reach HP goal earlier. Cons of MP washing: need more APRs = more cost (because you will need more Int base stats to gain this benefit) I am making an NL with a base of 400 Int. the per wash will yield me 40mp. with 5 levels up stats it will be 40mp * 5 = 200 mp. for Nightlord it's 14mp per wash for 18 HP. so I will need to use more APR to remove Int afterward. while I will need to scroll some gear with Luk for my 3rd job advancement due to full Int NL. I got a BS to self leech myself to level up. if you don't have a 4th job mage class. you will have to buy leech to level a full int char. What is HP washing? In the end content of maple, there's expedition boss like Horntail, Auf, Female boss and etc. if we do not HP wash, your maximum hp won't be enough to tank even 1 hit or touch damage. you will be stuck with a high-level character unable to join any boss raid with your guild or friends to enjoy the end content. so HP washing is recommended to players in order not to waste time grinding a character that will only be able to join some boss like Zakum only. this is what I gathered so far from reading all the guides I found both in Shiyui's calculator in excel and external sources. if I am mistaken, please correct me! thank you, everyone!
Heyy , First of all thanks for the lots of information provided! really appreciate it! But I can't get the calculations to run still... would be sweet if you can run them for me! So I searched this thread but the part where it says "HP or LUK" for NLs or Shads is still confusing. What is the cost/benefit of putting into either HP or LUK for the levels listed as "HP or LUK"? Which one should be chosen and why?

Hello, could use some help. I started this calculator from lvl 1 bowman HP goal was 13,625 Level goal was 130 Everything was going smoothly as of level 120 Now that I leveled to 121 the calculator says I dont nearly have enough MP all of a sudden. I changed the level goal to 135 and it works, but I have to get 60+ APR extra. Is there a reason for this? or error in calculator? If you put this exact info into the calculator its all good, but changing the level from 120 to 121 drops the Total MP after HP Washing down to 1500. will appreciate it if someone can shed some light.
we'll find out right answer by looking at the Excel you made at level 1, but things like 'Say 126 Above' appear when you make an error. So, you need to correct that part and recalculate to find the correct answer. But there is always a chance to get more hp than expected.
It originally said Say 103 Above, and when I got to that level, it always says Say (my next level) Above. So I just kept it at 103 because it didnt seem to alter the end result and wanted to remind myself what level I started Mp washing. BUT when I got the extra HP/MP from 4th job adv. it started saying 126. Still, even if I adjust everything to not say "say level above" it doesn't explain why "Total MP after HP Washing" goes from 2431 to 1506 when I input level 121 from 120
The result value can always have an error. For example, if you made it on the calculator when you were at level 1 and write down sum of all gears that contain ints. Then will have error until you reach the level required for the gears. So it might be a good idea to lower the expected value In my case, I start writing after reaching a certain level for the calculator.
Sorry, I failed to mention, I update the calculator every level with new current HP/MP/Base INT/Gear INT since level 1 all the way to level 120, and it was working fine with no errors. What I'm not understanding is why is "Total MP after HP Washing" goes from 2431 to 1506 when I input level 121 from 120. It's such a drastic change. I can only imagine the lookup function in the excel is picking up the wrong cell OR it's picking the correct cell but the number is off by 1000 or something. Unfortunately I'm not proficient enough in excel to go deep and check if the function, cell, or number listing is correct or not. The calculator seems to still work if I set my Level goal, Level to reset INT, and Level to stop using INT gear from 130 to 135, so I guess I can live with that. Just hoping If I don't have to spend the extra 60+ APR that be best.
