Yeah, but 600mil -> 200mil is a crazy drop. They coulda just tried to sell for 500mil if they were having trouble getting buyers. That would have been what they'd done if there wasn't an alternative motive for the drop in price.

It's their choice. They can give them away for free if they wanted! The thing is, nobody but them actually cares that much.

But there's no denying they did this as an attempt to punish people for not agreeing that they should sell for 800 mil, lol.

you're still trying to connect 2 dots that arent in the same plane lol. yes i lowered the price because as the market sinks players won't have the funds or whatever and sellers must react to that. now at 600m, it was selling fine but OP were greedy or stubborn and would rather the entire server raise their price back up to a point where they may get no sellers at all as opposed to a fairly consistent flow of buyers. now what we're talking about is their ACTIONS and THOUGHT PROCESS behind this new and improved 200m HTP, it is the result of them not getting what they want and you can see their motives behind it.

You lowered the price because players weren’t buying from you (often enough) at the initial rate.

Once you lowered the price, the reason your sales were fine was because your rates were lower than your competitors and you took all of the (limited) demand.

Now your competitors lowered their price further and their sales are fine because they took all of that (limited) demand the same way your price drop did.

If you want those sales again, do what you did at first and lower it further. You were the one to start that approach—they just followed suit.

Had you not dropped the price in an attempt to get yourself more buyers, neither would they have in response to your price drop. You guys would still be competing for the select buyers who are/were paying 1b.

The issue stems from the fact that you didn’t try to communicate/negotiate with the other sellers and simply dropped the price on your own accord and for your own benefit (more sales-actual greed). Now that they did the same to you in response, you guys don’t like that because those new found sales you got by lowering the price below your competitors are going bye bye. You guys could have found middle ground where neither group lowered their rates below one another—even settling around the 600m range. Again, you didn’t communicate or try to work with the other sellers though, you tried to benefit personally by lowering the price on your own. Now other groups followed the same approach as you did in lowering the price on their own to attract buyers to their runs specifically. Sounds like they took your approach and beat you with it - their wait list is through the roof!

How you can prevent this in the future:
Upon feeling like there aren’t enough buyers at a specific rate, bring up that discussion with the other groups who are selling at that rate. See what they are experiencing. If those groups are too hurting for buyers, discuss a price that would attract more of them and one you both feel is profitable and fair. Then you guys can still compete for those sales at a lower price without trying to one up each other by getting all of the buyers for yourselves.

    @nosebleed

tbh, I'm not sure why you are arguing. You are gonna get your htp for 200m because of the people who have argued for no artificial pricing lmao so maybe thank them?

And psst, get it quick! before they realise a dumping strategy doesn't work when your supply is only 2 a day 0:

OP's initial point was asking for a discussion to stabilize the htp market, which in response, a lot of people said "It's free market", If you can't find buyers, lower your prices! Which the reason why there were no buyers was because there were other players selling cheaper than OP's prices. The concern of OP was that if we keep lowering, it will not be profitable (concern for the whole HT runners), and it will hurt the market of HTP (which is already hurt by other HT runners). However, there has been a lot of group of htp runners where OP tried to discuss about stabilizing the market(way before this post), but said group didn't agree, and continued to lower the prices (1b >800m > 600m). OP wanted to stay true to the original price, but couldn't find any buyers, thanks to the other group of people who didn't wanted to discuss on set price.
OP understands other people will not discuss with him, tries to do the exact same thing as the other ht runners by lowering the prices to attract more buyers! (Doesn't matter if OP drops it by 1m or 400m)
Other HT runners who previously refused to discuss gets upset.
    Who is the real hypocrite?

global demand has dropped drastically by about 40% or so. To stimulate demand as a cartel(ultimately to increase price), lower ur output by not selling htp for a while. Hopefully price increase

I think you are the one that missed the point and your comparison of ws/cs prices to HTP pricing is irrelevant.

The reason being is that chaos scrolls and white scrolls are generated almost solely from Gachapon. Since double voting NX has begun the amount of time and effort to obtain enough NX to gach a cs/ws has drastically reduced because of the influx of NX from 2x vote NX. This has lead to a much higher cs/ws supply in the economy and with the demand remaining relatively the same, this has lead to a drop in chaos scroll and white scroll prices.

Double Voting NX = More Gachapon -> More CS/WS in the economy -> Lower CS/WS Prices

Now, lets compare it to the price of stoppers (320k) and apples (11m). The price of these items have stayed extremely consistent throughout the last month and even throughout 2x vote NX the price of these items have neither gone up or down for the most part. Let's ask ourselves why the price of these items have remained so stable? The stopper drop rates and spawns have remained unchanged and APQ apple drop rates have also remain unchanged in the last month. The demand for these items as well as the time and effort to obtain these items has stayed almost the exact same throughout the last month and 2x voting NX period unlike chaos scrolls and white scrolls which is why these items have not fluctuated in pricing.

Now, lets ask ourselves two questions.

    1. Did the Horntail boss itself get nerfed or become any easier to defeat within the last month?
    2. Did the price of attack pots (heartstoppers and apples) used by attackers in horntail get any cheaper?

The answer to both these questions is NO. So why are HTP prices dropping when the amount of time and effort to kill horntail as well as the cost of attack pots used in HT have stayed the same?

Honestly though, who really gives a fuck? You can just argue "It's a free market!!" Anyone in this server is free to set their own prices.

But don't go whining and crying when you admitted to undercutting the prices yourself first. Now you are calling others "greedy" and "stubborn" because they are using the same undercutting tactics that you used against them? l o l :xD:

People who run HT definitely Decreased Significantly due to the emptiest season of MapleRoyals, with around 600 players online in-comparison to the past ~1500
4: Did the demand for htp drop?

This is a price dependent change in quantity demanded (AKA a movement on the demand curve) which is natural. What @Tect was referring to was a price independent shift in demand (AKA a shift of demand curve). It could be the reduction in server population as you have mentioned yourself and the introduction of MON which is a good substitute for many players that have caused quantity demanded to decrease overall at every price point.

If you have looked at the server population at all for the last two months, it is obvious that the number of people running HT has actually decreased along with the server population in general. This means that the demand would also inherently decrease due to a lack of players (but also slightly due to MoN being released aswell). Both variables of demand and runners decreasing should still result in relatively the same pricing of HTP. The biggest factor and reason of HTP Price dropping is sellers undercutting one another.

If you read my post, I was only referring to the prices of apples within the last month. If I am not mistaken they have been consistently at 11-12m for the last month ;)

I think you underestimate the effect MoN has had. Many players will consider 5 in each of their main stats + 3 WA to be a good upgrade over a SDS, and generally they can get it for free, in a quest much easier to survive than HT. Suddenly, the upgrade to HTP is less appealing, as the jump from MoN -> HTP isn't as great as the jump from SDS -> HTP.

The reducing server population balances out. But the MoN then reduces the value of HTP.
