I'm not sure if this deserves its own thread so I'll post here. I have a question for those who've LHC'd with a mage with more than one in the party before the nerf. How many rolls with LHC gachapon do you usually get after one round? I have done it post-nerf with 2 mages (including myself) in the party and only got to roll twice (with some leftover of course)with 2 mages in the party. I think I remember 68 or so totems or maybe even 50+, sorry I only remember the number of rolls. 2 rolls for an hour of not being able to leave the computer and not talking, and breaking even with potions (and I'm using a heavily washed mage, imagine unwashed). We all know mesos >>> exp. May as well multimage elsewhere or whip out a few summon farmers. This nerf does not seem to have stopped the 6 LHC farmers, and we know this because when they cash in the whole server sees it. Even those who've disabled gacha smegas like myself know because of the uproar that always follows. In other words you are just dissuading solo mage from participating (and I see fewer smegas asking for FP for bears, which is a given) These farmers are probably farming their own WS and CS to spam on their own items anyway, so I honestly just suggest reverting the nerf entirely.
People can just be hoarding Totems, you literally can’t 6 mage ulu anymore, once you hit I believe 50% threshold with mage ult it won’t drop anything. My attackers usually average 80-90 an hour, 90-100 with a single FP, so if that 50-60 is really your rate, thats pretty bad. LHC parties generally accept FP (bears), but we won’t go out of our way smegaing R>LHC Bearwolves buffs ready need AM!! It goes both ways, these fire poisons need to want to do LHC. LHC honestly is exhausting and I would only feel incentivized to do it on a character than can gain worthwhile EXP like an attacker, as most people are indifferent about their farming mage exp.
If there's a secret 50% mage ult threshold then that's all the more egregious. I'm under the impression it's just that penalty at 80%. And you know the extreme players will just get around it by replacing 2 mages with attackers. I've only done it on IL which is a pain in the ass to recruit for so we ended up with multiple mages in the party. I think one round had 2, the other round had 3. These are individual people and not the same person on multiple computers so I don't see why they should be punished because *very few* hardcore players are doing something extreme. Yes I definitely did not get to roll more than twice an hour, and I even set a timer every 2 minutes 15s to check for loot so I wouldn't miss anything. Really appreciated that 97 wa nisrock and cheese compared to the several nisrocks I could have farmed from O4 in the meantime. Of course the melee could have just been really awful. FP is nearly ready for it (mw20 coming soon) so if you want tailored commentary it's unfortunately soonTM, but I definitely see a sharp drop in smegas asking for FP since the nerf. I used to see 3-4 within an hour at times. Part of the reason why there's so few FPs doing it is that job is completely dead end to play as a main. And I support incentivizing those farming mages to go to LHC instead of hanging out at those certain infamous maps. Wearing poison/lightning wand to reduce damage and avoid totem penalty? That's an idea...
Oh no 50% is better. Sorry, When they first changed it if you pushed past 25% you got no drops, but they pushed it back to 50% due to feedbacks. Its somewhere in the feedback threads.
Initial implementation: https://royals.ms/forum/threads/update-81-14-09-22.209244/ Currently state: https://royals.ms/forum/threads/update-81-1-16-09-22.209321/ I believe it was 50% HP gives 50% drop rate when they added it, and then nerfed it so mages need to do 80% HP (same 50% drop rate). Applies to LHC totems and event drops.
