    Just brainstorming. Might be able to pin anego on the upper shelf of the bookcase when bombing on the platform below. Not sure if ME has enough vertical range for this

    Wouldn't it be better to scroll your top with STR so you can fit the Khanjar? Or is it better to scroll with LUK and then just add RAW STR?

    I met a blood bandit the other day and after talking with them a bit and doing a bit of math it seems that pure points into hp would get about 10.5k hp by level 135. With meso guard that's about 21k worth of damage they could take.

    I personally scrolled my top with STR since having more base luck is better for maple warrior and will increase your damage slightly.

    Is it true that monster carnival is not a viable method of training nowadays? i can't seem to get in.

    Yes CPQ has been disabled since 2016. Only Kerning, both Ludi, Orbis and Pirate PQ work for now.

    How much does str effect long term hp?
    Also please, fake nexon: please fix taunt.

    Taunt is great.
    First, you generally want to taunt right before a kill or group of kills because of the def boost. This is why venom is good, bc it ignores def, and can still leave an enemy with 1hp. But generally, you'll just taunt before you finish them.
    However there is even better treasure hunting synergy if you steal before a taunt.
    If you steal an item, that item won't then drop from the monster. So if you: steal (successfully) then taunt, you remove an item from the drop rate, then add 40% to the remaining drops. So theoretically if you remove an item from the drop wheel, you have potential, and increased potential with taunt, to find more loot.

    Also extra exp and money from a skill is nice?

    Also shield mastery should just add like passive avoid%, like 7% at max, or small damage reflect, or small stun, or small immunity. This is one of those dead end skills that wasn'tt curated for level 200 players/gear. The attack increase doesn't make sense imo. And to be fair the def increase doesnt make sense either.

    It should. If we're going to play in a time capsule yet complain about imbalance, this will just turn into the same mash of overhauled skills.
    There are lots of exploited and scrapped avenues of play that nexon didn't improve at all, they just got rid of them completely later. This server is living in that bubble. The solution is to maximize and synergize what's already there.
    Every guide walks you through hp washing. Problem.
    Maxing skills in 4th should come with additional permanent buffs to stats and also boost other skills, since there is no fifth job and level 200 was just an arbitrary cap. Using skills in concert (and vary on level) should boost damage. Also because you'll eventually max them all.
    Stats are one of those scrapped avenues. They were later totally pointless, especially because of gear, everyone became monostat chars except joke builds which couldn't be "viable".
    It's just not conducive to play off the exploited gameplay within the game. Make it so secondary or third/fourth stats have impact if you invest. And investing in hp/mp never really made sense and can be rewired to only ap, but hp/mp as an option should stay because maple was always about rewarding adventurous/custom playstyle. I believe dps balance is needed in places but it should really be more about custom gear than skills. If you have to hp wash, it's broken.

    Say thieves/bandits have overhauled ap effect and formulas

    Hp: increases hp based on current hp and level/job. Can increase passive recovery. Endure would then increase depending Raises str by .1 (10 hp ap investments raises str by 1)
    Mp: same as hp?
    Str: maple originally had an entirely sperate type of bandit play style, str bandits, with different gear. that became entirely useless. It should have benefits if were going to play in a flawed bubble. They don't have to be vast but what's the point of bringing this to the table at all if it's pointless except to equip the d. Khanjar?
    Str could affect hp, passive recovery, and maybe increase stun times at certain intervals? Maybe increase crit range? Again, this is about risking one stat for another, so there should be pros to the cons of not pure luk
    Increased w.def?
    Int: increased mp, passive mp recovery, increased crit rate every like 10/15 levels? Increased drops? Increased m.def
    Dex: accuracy, balanced damage
    Luk: avoid, raw damage formula increase
    And any investment in str/int should reflect

    And new formulas that reflect hard ap investment (not from gear), since only so much ap can be spent in 200 levels.
    Nothing that breaks the game, but things thst can coexist in some balance beside an exploited linear pure stat character. Not saying make them better than pure stats, because thst is a big sacrifice and reward as well.

    ...yeaaahhh? My whole pov is that the server is a nostalgic one, but the version is problematic and clearly only caters to the problematic make up of the game, and exploits it. There are skills in 4th job that dont even work on this server, but cash shop items are a thing... I'm not nostalgic for a tine when skills never worked, I would like to use them and for them to make sense in context and not be throwaway uncurated, dead end skills that would later be removed. They can be improved in the context of the servers bubble

    I can confirm taunt does indeed stack with hs (or rather, it is supposed to, if the skill worked properly), another reason it needs to be fixed

    Quite good guide. Leant a lot from this one. Thanks for your contribution.

    I have a question regarding macro. I saw that MACROING IS NOT ALLOWED. This is considered robot play and is bannable. Does that mean I cannot use ingame macro to use Boomerang Step +Assassinate? I just found that I can use ingame marco to Boomerang Step +Assassinate while also dropping mesos so as to maximize my DPS.

    Can someone tell me whether this combo will appeal to be banned?

    It is allowed to use in game makros. Such as the one in the Skill tab. However you are not allowed to use 3rd Party Programs to create Makros, also If your Keyboard / Mouse assists Makros you are not allowed to use that too.

    How much meso do you drop each bag when you kill BF? i normaly use 25 mil each kill not 7 mil, and i drop 10k bags
