As some of you might have seen if you hang out in Free Market, there is a new Christmas merchant this time around! Here's the Christmas donkey from the Christmas merchant in full glory~ he's fully decked out in festive spirit And here's the initial design for the store before bits and pieces! Here's a cursed WIP for the merchant, where the donkey was supposed to be bald in first place- also Witch outfit for the girl for the base, but went for something else entirely- Planned to make both the donkey and the girl as the merchant NPC at first... ...then kinda wanted to make the donkey only as the NPC... ...but in the end, settled down with just the girl as the NPC instead! Even earlier idea for the Christmas merchant, but scrapped because I just don't feel like it... ------ While we're on the topic of store merchants, Halloween patch was supposed to come with one too, but wasn't added for multiple reasons... ...as you can see, it's totally an experimental design... ...and it actually works in game! This merchant also has an initial design but just for the store NPC, as the store design pretty much looked the same she's a behemoth compared to other NPC and players, I didn't scale her properly... Here's the full NPC sprite for both Halloween merchant and size comparision- ------ There's also a new smega added in Christmas patch, by the way! But it was actually a totally different smega in the first place too! This is the original smega we wanted to add, taken from GMS files but there was an issue with it like the fish spear smega thing (you know that one) Tried to edit it so it looks like other smega in the game, but was scrapped because getting a clean version of the reindeer means I have to erase the BG and it's animated in first place, not to mention the fact that I had to redo the background, recreate the smega box just to find out that the character will block the reindeer anyway... The best solution? Make a new one from scratch instead- Also, alternatively, there was a snowman version of the same smega but can't really figure out how to add front layers on smega just yet, and it would look something like this! ------ Another scrapped chair design, honestly just don't have enough time and quite unsure how to animate it at that time it's almost the same as the second place chair design winner too, but this was made and scrapped before that design was submitted for clarification- And the rejected chair design submission for this year because it extended too low on the ground! honestly quite a shame about this one, I personally liked the vibe of it but there's always more room for next year! ------ All the icons for the donor chairs, sorry to the winners if some of them look quite bad! It's a challenge when you need to set it at such a small dimension! ------ I've been holding on this for quite some time, but I think it's alright for me to actually talk about it now? Originally, Von Leon CS icon looked like this! But the team wanted it to feel a bit Von Leon-ey, as the original looked like a Halloween scroll with the color scheme, so the idea is to make it a bit brighter and add glow to it... ...but it still doesn't scream Von Leon enough, so I decided to make it a lava-like glow since there's lava ground in Von Leon's Audience Room... ...and added more red on the icon and we have the final version of it! The same goes for the parchments too! Forging manual had an interesting changes too, like the original was supposed to look different than what it is now! Second design still has the same appearance, but added an outline on the icons to make it more readable... The third and final design changed the appearance to look more like the other Von Leon scrolls! The new patch note also mentioned that Von Leon's lightning attack has a wider attack range, and I'm quite proud how it turned out to be honest! Just gonna post the GIF version of it so you can see it~ For reference, the original lightning and the extended one is in this GIF here! ------ Funky little stuff, but icons for Auf Haven and Von Leon buffs, was made to look like the Horntail squad buff, though I'm not sure if I really like it myself or not even though I created the icons in first place-

The 10th Anniversary world select screen in it's full glory! Originally wanted to go with this kind of template, was made for last year Summer update but thought it would be cool for Anniversary instead, where I can show images of past Royals achievements and what not! (This is just a draft, but you get the idea how it would look like) (Unfortunately, this idea ended up in the cutting room once again... Maybe 20th Anniversary?) The screen itself was different too, originally wanting to go with this one but it's kind of too big and resizing it means I wouldn't be able to do much with the screen itself... ...also the support beam just kinda ends there and not even connected to each other, so yeah... Anyway, if you feel like you've seen the screen before, that's because it was from the Spring Film Festival banner- Spoiler ------ Here's your 10th Anniversary merchant... ...and the alternate version of it, not much of a difference- Here's our merchant this time around! ...and the earlier sprite of her, which is just a disembodied body and no hat- Couldn't really use Manager Mushroom since we already using him as NPC this year, and kinda wanna use a different character than the usual Inugami(tm) store girl-
