Is it better to wear equips for secondary stat or main stat?

Your stat menu doesn't show decimals but your range includes these decimals in the calculation

 

You said youd have to put 42 stats into str, meaning you would have 46 base. with the gear mentioned you would have a total of 119 str, and i dont know why you would have that. If you were to put 38 stats in str, giving you 115 total, you would have 976 stats to put into dex, meaning youd have 1131 total like i said. The str overall route would give 1018 base, 1119.8 with MW and 1130.8 with the overall.
When thinking about it, decimals might make a difference even though they arent shown, but either way its a tiny difference and the dex overall route is still actually slightly better.

Also, just by using logic you can reason that a str overall>dex overall. If you fail to see this idk what there is to discuss. I'm just trying to help the OP here.

 

28+22+8+11+4+42=115 while this might be true, it becomes 119 when you include MW, a skill that increases all stats. 28(htp)+22(helm)+8(ring)+11(OA)+4(base)+42(extra base) + 4.6(MW) becomes 119.6
I dont know what logic you are referring to, your calculations to prove that str gear is better than dex gear has so far have been wrong

 

This got real complicated real fast!

So in terms of wearing equips and stats, having an overall scrolled for main stat or secondary stat would be practically the same, even taking into account MW. However, adding more level up ap into secondary stat results in lower damage range in the end because the base stat has more impact on damage range more than additional stats from equipment? This is what I'm getting from what you're saying.

 

Doesnt matter if its base stats or stats from equips, what matters is the total stats

 

Maple Warrior truncates, so 1010 base dex gives the same as 1018 base dex. I don't know enough about the formulas to confirm what Mike said about range calculation, but if that were the case, it's obvious why secondary stat-scrolled equips are more expensive.

I'm a lvl 10× bowman. I have 29 base str atm, and a total of 90 str enough to eqp my lvl 90 weapon with good att. I don't have a zak helm atm, so will probably try to get it along with end game item like pgc and fs. Might still need to add a bit more str to eqp lvl 100 weapon if i get fs and pgc. But yeah
