I asked the same thing.. I'd love to change my UI to a different colour (black) but matt said we weren't allowed. Just wondering, how do you know if people edit it anyway? It's only locally accessed I guess if someone posted a screenshot of something and their UI was different you'd know.. but apart from that.. how?
Alright fair enough Matt. Was just wondering, that's all, since it doesn't effect gameplay. I was thinking about translating the UI to my language. In my opinion, you should just turn a blind eye to UI edits but your server, your rules, I'll respect that.
If we do have a system that is able to tell if you are using modified files... It most likely cannot tell the difference between a UI change and a change that could affect gameplay.
Ah I see, so it probably just checks file size or hash or something.. Well I'm not going to try it just to see if you can or can't detect it. Wouldn't be worth the ban, this server is too fun
