Hey all, I've been curious to see if people are really reminiscing here A.K.A. are we MS players from the old days playing or are we newer players here?

I feel old as hell (luckily still a millennial), but something always pulls me back to my better memories of maple.

Thanks for voting to those that did!

I'm curious what strong memories of maple you guys have- if you want to share.

I remember my main character in Bellocan and made a life-long friend through it. I tried to recreate my maple days here too.

ppl always compare this server with Legends
while Legend's experience is mostly nostalgic and grindy Royal's community is stronger and feels like a better experience overall

yes, Royals has lots of content from more recent versions but that only gives us reasons to do more content with friends and so
does that hurt the nostalgic experience? maybe it does
does it makes Royals experience bad? no, not really, having more stuff to do keeps you engaged
grindy and repetitive tasks are annoying and sometimes pointless but that's MMOs overall, having more content helps the experience remain kinda fresh
however it may feel tiring sometimes so playing other games even with friends helps avoid a burnout

It's nostalgic as long as you play nostalgically. I can always experience the old game again if I create a new character and grind at stumps, slimes, KPQ, etc.

Leeching all the way till 180 or 195 doesn't feel nostalgic at all.
Farming on many mages doesn't feel nostalgic at all.
Slaying bosses with multiple DPS chars doesn't feel nostalgic at all.
But a player doesn't have to make billions to enjoy the game. Poverty is part of old school maplestory XD. Remember sitting to recover HP/MP?

Some new users stay at low levels because they want to maintain the nostalgia or meet friends in the game regardless of their level.

For example, I've been on this server for 5 years and I've felt a lot of nostalgia for the old days of MapleStory.

You've probably met high-level players, like level 180, 190, or 200, which is the maximum level, just like in the old MapleStory.

You've probably noticed something new, like leeching or multi-client farming by mages.

These are people who generate huge amounts of mesos.

If you want to maintain that nostalgia, I suggest you stay at your current level and meet friends to talk about anything and everything.

You'll find that in the FM
