Hi I remember being able able to pin the samurai in ninja castle on a platform to avoid the magic attack in GMS. However, when I tried it in royals it didn't work. I checked a video guide, but he just doesn't want to jump. Does this method not work in royals or in this version of maplestory? Is there a way to kill it as a ranged class (with less than 11k hp?)
He never jumps. He's too cool (or heavy?) for that. But there's a skill in Royals, which allows you to increase your HP with 60%. I forgot what it's called at the moment, but I believe DKs have it. You could try ask one of them, if they're willing to duo the boss with you.
That's pretty cool. But this Samurai got fat and lazy in recent times because I guess he had nothing to guard anymore. What I mean is he doesn't jump. He never jumps in Royals and I honestly didn't know he did in GMS. I quit around the time Kaede Castle was released. I don't know if this is by design in Royals, or some kind of bug. Anyway, you should probably do some quest to gain HP if you want to fight this boss. 7K should be enough I believe (and HB on top of that)
Try with the Puppet skill to lure it to the right spot, this might help. I remember seeing some video of a bowmaster doing that trick with a Puppet.
