Certified in ACLS (advanced cardiac life support) after working for the past 3 months as an ICU nurse! Now, I just need 2 years or 2,000 hours of clinical experience before I can take my CCRN certification exam
I slept for 34 hrs. Sat morning 1 AM, woke up at like 7 or 8 PM to take a piss, went back to bed and got up Sun at 11 AM. :EzLyfe:
Okay, so I'm still kind of babied by my parents a little and for this summer, I stared cooking on my own.... and I made this!!! It tasted delicious!! Is a big deal for me because I can't cook that well... p.s. I'm white so rice meals aren't normal
Major mental barrier overcome'd today as I did strength training at the gym... Since I want to start getting strong, I started doing strength training today and jeesh, it was tough, I did that and then I did my normal cardio, I always did cardio, but the mentality of doing full strength training was something that took me MONTHS to overcome in my mind. I always just ran outside, but now i'm doing it in the gym This 1 cute person gave me a look when I was running Maybe because I look great and can run a 7:01 mile and I looked like a cheetah on the treadmill
Just got a 519 on my MCAT exam! 97th percentile - pleased afffff (for those unaware, the MCAT is an 7.5 hour behemoth of a test & a pita to prepare for) Hella hard shameless boasting right now, but it was a big deal for me. I was studying for that damn test every day for 10 months while juggling working full-time, doing clinical research, and other stuf. Honestly thought about quitting almost every other day.
It was a long four years, but I'm now an official UCSD graduate. Good-bye ochem and finals week. (The mere mention of ochem will still trigger me though.)
Applied to a known company in a particular industry on impulse. A couple hours later, got sent a quiz to fill out. A couple days later, got myself an interview next week. Getting cold feet, lol.
