Enrolled into university Bachelor of Technology - Computer Programming. I start as a full time student at RMIT in September. Not quitting my full time job I'm going to list this even though it's a work in progress accomplishment. I'll be working full time while I study, fingers crossed that works out.
Got a B+ in my summer Macroeconomics class, even after spending a week in zombie mode because I have my 2nd exam on a Tuesday and the Final on Thursday right after.
Got a $10,000 scholarship for University next year Finished and got my bartending license Getting an Audi A4 as a grad present Life is good right now <3
Came out to my therapist about being an Asexual. Plan to come out about being Trans*/Genderqueer Tuesday.
Ive recently quit smoking which I find to be a huge accomplishment in my life I used to smoke 3-4 packs a week back during my grad year and it has been a whole month since I've stopped. The fiending literally went away and I decided there are better things to spend with my money. However I do use an electronic vape pen (yes it has a bit of nicotine in it) and it is a much healther alternative to smoking cigs. Wish me luck and hope I don't break my quit-smoking streak.
I tripped down the stairs while holding a plate of cheesecake and I ended up catching it as I got back on my feet. (ty based god) On the serious note I recently just got my brown belt in judo so now I can grab more ass.
It's a good thing you are trying to quit (know so from experience, haven't smoked for 2 years now) but that pen isn't any better for your health than a normal sig. It just has different toxic components added to the nicotine and it doesn't make it any easier to really quit either (2 of my friends are trying to quit that way but if anything they are smoking even more). But hang in there, never give up!
Exact same situation I was smoking around half a pack a day since my junior yr in highschool. I recently quit and have not smoked a cigarette in 5 months ! Also using e-cigarette.
I yolo'd my savings account to get into a tournament in North Carolina (Charlotte) and play with one of my olympian, world champion, curling idols... Debbie McCormick. The money goes to fund the Charlotte Curling Club's construction of their own facility. This tournament will be the first one I've participated outside of the All-American Challenges held at my club. It also could be the door to me going national and gaining a mentor in the sport. I'm super stoked to be playing Vice-skip (thirds) under Debbie in this tournament.
Went to my neurosurgeon and got fast tracked to the hospital for MRI's since he was worried about my disks putting pressure on my spinal cord... I got gadolinium dye with the MRI, I'm now radioactive for the next few days. Oh. Here's me rocking the hospital gown and some pictures of how fucked up my spine is. Enjoy. Spoiler
My band released a new single! You guys should definitely check it out https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b7jOSMzIyOg
After years of struggle (not exaggerating) I finally was able to get financial aid for college, and will be able to attend without having to work (a lot) on my own. Last Fall I took 5 classes and aced them all, this fall I plan to do the same!
