Hi there, I've been leeching for a couple weeks now, and I had a question about the ratios, as a bishop, in relation to your leecher's level. For context, I started with low level leeching and was consistently getting leechers 2-3 levels an hour. I've moved on to leeching ULU1 with my full build, consistently getting people 2 levels there. however, yesterday as a level 139 mage, I went back to mb1 to leech for a friend, and it felt like the rate was around 1 level per hour. She started at 1% lvl 52, and ended with around 20% after 15 minutes, which felt unbelievably slow compared to my usual rate. I can telecast, have MW20, Gen30... Is there anything thats now limiting my ability to leech lower levels? Is the ratio of my level to hers having an effect? I feel like it shouldn't be that noticeable yet as I'm lvl 139. Should I stop leveling my BS if i plan to leech some of my own lower level characters? Please help! thiccboi67
Your level does make a difference but it shouldn't be anywhere near as big (essentially, buyer lv / party avg level is a multiplier, so it's only a few % difference at most). That does sound very slow, I guess I'd check how much exp she's getting per kill? And you're full clearing map every spawn cycle right?
Yeah I was full clearing and it seemed liike a pretty optimal clear. I think she was getting around +182 per kill which seemed very low. I leeched a buyer at FTP the day before & mb2 a few days ago, no issues. Really strange
@Sylafia, hi is there a recommended level range to stop at for buyer's to continue buying Skele Leech? Like if you're too high does it deter buyers?
Likewise, level 138 here took me an hour to level up by 1 at mb1, other maps 2-3 levels per hour. Not sure why but buyer was unsatisfied :/
ive had problesm with this too, my friend is like lvl 52, and im tryna lvl him at mb 1 but he getting little to no exp, i would love for someone to explain this whole leeching thing
If you dont plan on bossing with your bishop there is no reason to level it up past being able to 1 hit skele, that just makes sense for everyone. Anyway, regarding your question, I'll just share my experience. If you're efficient with your TC/rotation and can constantly 1 hit, your bishops level makes very little difference. I skele leech on my bishop at lvl 173, I don't have optimal TC/Rotation cause I stop to loot every 2-3 minutes, I don't 1 hit 100% cause my mule is using my gear, and still I get about 35%/10 minutes for my 118 mule. Muddy banks however was always bad exp/hour for me even as a low lvl bishop with 1hit/tc 100% of the time, the mob density and exp is just crap there...
tbh, everything up to harps is garbage, maybe FTP is just a pass, but in general low lvl leech is not good. The lvl difference is too big. Even if your seller is lvl 120, your ratio at lvl 51 to party average is just below 0.6. This doesn't mean you get 60% xp, this means you get 60% of half of the exp the seller is getting. If you were using a mage instead of bish, so no HS, it is very normal to get barely any xp. Let's have a look at this: Oly oly organically gives 592 xp. With 2 party members it gives (in reality not this much): 710 xp. The maximum a leech is allowed to have out of this total is 1/3 with seller getting 2/3. The maximum xp you should be getting is 236. However you are only entitied to 60% of this given the ratios, so you will be getting 142 exp. Let's look at your situation, as a 139, the ratio is even worse (53%), so without HS you're looking at approx 125 xp without HS, and 187 with HS. Ironically the best thing to do is to dilute the average with other lvl 51s. If you dilute the party average with 5x51 and 1x 139, you will be looking at a ratio of 0.78%. Each Oly Oly is now going to give approx 947 xp, with each lvl 51 entitled to a maximum 1/7 of the total (135 xp). 78% of this is 105 xp and with HS this would be 157 xp. Per kill the exp is decreased by only 20% which is a very small discount. Individually you are experiencing a slower leech, but as an entity the 5 leeches are getting absolutely ridiculous value. A 20% decrease from solo is something you'd expect from split leech for party of 2 instead of 6! Comparatively, if you did the same thing in higher lvl content, such as skeles, the dilution has a lot less effect in the entity gaining more xp. Let's look at this with skelegons: Starting xp: 14.4k Leecher: 136 Leech: 108 Entitled approx solo xp with HS: 0.33*1.2*1.5*14,400*108/ave(108,136)=7,648 Entitled approx split xp with HS: 0.25*1.3*1.5*14,400*108/ave(108,136)=6,460 (16% decrease) Entitled approx 5char xp with HS: 1/7*1.6*1.5*14,400*108/ave(108*5,136)=4,732 (38% decrease) Dilution is worst when each leech is entitled to max xp (50%) Starting xp: 14.4k Leecher: 136 Leech: 136 Entitled approx solo xp with HS: 0.33*1.2*1.5*14,400*1=8,640 **multiplier will be 1 as your lvl will be higher or equal to average (you are not entitled to more than 50% xp of seller) Entitled approx split xp with HS: 0.25*1.3*1.5*14,400*1=7,020 (19% decrease) Entitled approx 5char xp with HS: 1/7*1.6*1.5*14,400*1=4,937 (43% decrease) Moral of the story: Low lvl leech is garbage, but if you dilute the party average to the max with 5 char leech, you can get your average high lvl split leech quality across 5 characters instead of 2!
