For fellow Apple Silicon Mac users, the new update (ver 93) may not properly launch from Crossover after an install. These are the requirements needed to get it to launch normally again. (Credits to MilkRabbit for doing all the troubleshooting legwork!)
    • Use the WZ install - the IMG install now may crash after launching when changing the client resolution. You may have to delete the old MapleRoyals files from the IMG install or make a new bottle.
(If you already used a WZ install in that past, that's fine, you can overwrite the install in the next step.)
    • When the installer prompts you to select the install folder, the MapleRoyals installer now defaults to C:\Program Files. Crossover will not launch the game properly from here. Instead, you must change the install location to C:\MapleRoyals. (Either create C:\MapleRoyals, or you can overwrite your old C:\MapleRoyals folder.)
After the install finishes, the launcher in the bottle will not work. The icon will be the Crossover logo instead of the maple leaf. Attempting to launch it will result in an error.

To fix this, you must manually set the launcher.
    1. From your bottle, click the Run Command button in the top right corner.
    2. In the Run Command dialog window that pops up, click Browse (in the same row as Command)
    3. In the Finder window that pops up, open the MapleRoyals folder. Then, select MapleRoyals.exe.
    4. After selecting the .exe, click Save Command as Launcher in the Run Command dialog window.
    5. After a few seconds, the icon in the launcher should change back to the maple leaf icon. Click Cancel to exit the dialog.
    6. You should now be able to run MapleRoyals as normal!

These troubleshooting steps were tested to work on an M1 MacBook Air running Sonoma 14.6.1, and an M2 MacBook Air running Ventura 13.6.7.

To add to the previous post, if your client crashes upon character selection, try choosing "View all characters" and then use your mouse to double click your character to login.

I have been following pinkchocoa's instruction since my first day.
I updated the client yesterday but somehow I can play just like before.
    (M1 Air / Sequoia 15.0.1 / Crossover 25.0.5 / IMG v93 / Windows 10 64bit)

Off topic: Am I the only one who still use M1 Air since 2020?
I used to upgrade Intel macbook every few years... but M1 Air works so good I have no reasons to upgrade it. ~f3

MASSIVE thank you for this post - for YEARS now I was convinced I couldn't play MapleRoyals with an M1 Macbook Air - this guide helped completely.

I was playing normally until one day I couldn't get past the character select screen. It just crashes when I try to login with any character now.

I tried basically every fix here. Inputting the PIC very slowly, idling at the OK screen right before logging in, logging in via 'View All Characters', logging in via selecting the world + channel, using only mouse as much as possible, using only keyboard as much as possible, creating a new bottle with various settings, completely removing CrossOver and then making a new bottle. Still can't login. Does anyone have any ideas?

Maybe you're connecting from a banned IP. Try unplugging power from your router for 10 minutes then reconnect and login
