I'm aware that there was a change to make HP Mark not automatically open as others didn't like seeing HP Mark window of the party. I might be of the minority group of players that really enjoyed HP Mark window when gathering people (or mules) into a party. It feels terrible having to manually click each time compared to before. Would it be possible to have an option to make HP Mark automatically open again in a party?
As a bishop this is super important, and would actually make my job in VL a lot easier since you need HP mark up during p3.
I never understood the change in the first place, there's been no elaboration on what it was solving or who asked for it. There has been reference to making a system to "control" this behavior (https://royals.ms/forum/threads/staff-blog-september-2022.209642/) but that thread also mentions a "Community Q&A 4" and that to my knowledge never happened. The party HP UI provides a QoL utility that warrants it to appear on default. The system referenced above is unlikely coming anytime soon, so in the meantime the change should be reverted to to appear on default.
i never knew having the hp mark show up unwarranted was a problem. ive always found it useful, especially for leading pqs etc. if there was a way so that players could choose whether or not they want the hp mark shown automatically it would be very nice as the ones who liked having it show up are now at an inconvenience
Hard agree tbh. I’m always forgetting I’m in a party and then I wait for an invite for something else only to find out it was me who was the idiot and already in a party.
This is working with the new client, right? I've been able to see the HP mark in VL without needing to manually open it all the time
The HP mark is currently on again by default whenever you make or join a party, yes. We are still looking into giving players an option to better control the HP mark similar to how it works for the Serverclock UI. Our devs just didn’t get to it yet due to the rewriting of the client.
