HP Gain Make HP washing optional, not mandatory

We probably shouldn’t assume all players would want to go down the route of having to fund their main with AP Resets and paying for leech. Maybe some don’t want to jump through barriers to get certain medals or equips that gives them an HP boost. Maybe they would rather if they could just create an account and play without worrying about if they can survive a boss, and without relying on mules, washing, or partying with other players. Some are probably just hoping the HP through leveling up would be enough. Also, not everyone wants to play as part of a community. Some are lone wolves, just saying. Then again, some places you can't get into alone like in the old Maple.

Either way, it doesn’t matter to me if HP Washing is required for the game or not. I’ll keep quiet now.

 

Auf Haven has the following damage sources

Touch: up to 16k
Slash Attack: up to 9,8k + Stun (or touch damage if your too close)
Energy Ball Attack: up to 9,5k + Dispel
Genesis Attack: up to 9,5k
Wing attack: low damage, 5k-ish?

The Seduce duration is 5 seconds.

This leads me to the following HP tiers:

1. 10k Hp
You can survive all attacks individually, but not touch. You should always stay as far away as possible to dodge touch damage during slash attack. So this is more of a ranged character thing + shads because of meso guard (care for dispel tho). 2 energy ball attacks during SED can kill you with no counter play if your will is down. When you get the first energy ball damage right after SED happens immediately will out and pot.
Having HB would bring you to tier 2.

2. 16k HP
You can survive all attacks individually including touch damage. 2 energy ball attacks during SED can kill you with no counter play if your will is down. When you get the first energy ball damage right after SED happens immediately will out and pot.
Having HB would not bring you to tier 3 because the effect of dispel is prior to the damage you take from the energy ball attack iirc.

3. 19k HP (my recommendation)
You can also survive 2 energy ball attacks during SED.

4. 25,5k HP
You can also survive touch damage + 1 energy ball attack during SED. This is worth to consider if you are a melee.

5. 30k HP
Flex

Note that the Summened Auf Havens also have a ranged attack which does a little less then Auf Havens Energy Ball Attack. So getting hit by this + Auf Havens Energy ball attack is also a thing.

Talking about tactics would lead to too much for this discussion. It’s heavily character & Party set-up dependent.

Some people wants to play a casual game,
I have a job, wife and pets, i barely have time to play, but it important to me so I find time. I wouldn't want to invest all my time and game resources to HP wash, it is not fun for the most part,
When i just started, i wasn't aware of HP washing, i made a Shadower because my friend wanted NL,
Looking back, if i wasn't a shadower, i'd probably quit a long time ago.

I am also for the idea to find an alternative for HP washing,

Not everyone has the same time or ability to play as much as they would like, i believe that there is a way to make both parties enjoy the game and be able to play it for fun.

 

Quick little update since this thread is relevant. i made an MM to test the recent changes to MM and hp gain. Already 8300Hp (with bossing equips) at lvl 142, created character around dec 1st 2021, only using PQ and party grinding exp buffs with friends. I only had base 4 int and some shitty int equips, only used APRs from voting or boss drops. Not a single hour of leech or apr purchased. Party grinding is also MUCH faster than leeching now. I think we are getting SUBSTANTIALLY closer to HP washing being 100% optional. Depends on classes chosen.

Yes, washing is still more efficient. But i much rather actually play the game instead of leeching through 1-135. Some more minor changes or additions need to be done for more fun yet noticable hp gain. These are discussed in some posts of mine and others all over the forums.

 

Could you give a rundown on how you got to that hp?

i.e the boss equips you have that provide hp

Because my bowmaster is at 12.3k hp and these are the equips I have that add hp

Black belt 300
Golden Leaf Pendant 250
Christmas Ring 250
3 pet EQs 180 140 130 (450)
Ellin Earrings 150
Ephenia Ring 150
Mon 300
Bfc 130
Scarlion hat 30
Zombie army Ring 100
Total from gears: 3000+ approx

Excess mp washed for lvl 200 : 90 APRs aka 1.3khp approx
Hp gained from Ellinia Quest 500
Hp Elixer of life quest hp gain: 1500

Lets say I exclude the hp gears, my hp would be 12.3k-3k= 9.3k
Lets say I exclude the 90+ aprs I used to wash as well, my hp would be 8k.

How did you get 8.3k on a lvl142mm though? Im sure you do not own most of the high end hp gears I have such as legendary collector or blackbelt, golden leaf pendant etc.

Since you started on 1st Dec approx,you would only have 25 days of voting which gives 200k nx (60+Aprs), you wouldnt be able to get more than 800hp with that.

I doubt you got a substantial amount of nx from bossing since you are only lvl 142.

Im assuming you didnt have time to do hp elixer quest to gain as much hp as I did as well.

 

I'll give my rundown once i finish my guide post. I still haven't finished. Maybe stop doubting so much?

Im doubting the methods you utilised to get it in that time span.

Why do you need to make a guide post to reply a simple question?

In 25 days you probably spent all your time grinding levels instead of doing hp quest or getting hp gears.

You made it sound as though you started on a fresh account so im going to assume you had to find ways to earn mesos for your 500hp quest since all your nx was used on getting APRs.

Im sure you didnt have time to grind for ellin eqs or black belt. Im very curious because I highly doubt the facts you claim are accurate or you just dont have a job/didnt sleep for 25 days

Reason im being so critical has nothing to do with you as a person. I just want to make sure this thread doesnt get misguided with information like we are SUBSTANTIALLY getting closer to making HP wash optional.

 

Good ole regular mapling with friends. Its pretty awesome. Thank GM's for the recent changes throughout the year that now make it possible. Try it, make a new character. And play like you did in 2007. Didnt even use Cpq1/2 either. Might as well delete it.

Its just stating the hp eqs you have atm I dont see why a guide post is required. If you had the time to take a cropped screenshot of your hp you would have answered the question long ago without raising any suspicion

Yes. Im curious about your hp gears, asking for the 3rd or 4th time. Please google your answers
