Thank you in advance. I will reread your message a couple of times until I fully get it 100+%. This is definitely valuable information I will need to address once I get to the part where I will describe what actions the player needs to perform in order to wash properly. Here's a tiny update on what I added: 1) Introduction about color meanings within the tool 2) Automatically calculating the min/max ranges for HP and MP a character can be in. With this you can basically tell how lucky your character got with stats distribution (after Level Ups and Job Advancements - those have random ranges) but of course also find out how much HP you will need to additionally create out of thin air to reach your boss goal. This will be used to write precise instructions on how to actually wash. 3) Some graphs to visually represent data (for nerds) and for me to debug Previously the calculator would already suggest items you should equip at your level. For that it would select equips from the list you create yourself, so no imaginary items. Just the ones you actually have access to Simply speaking it picked the best equips available at your level and suggested those to the player. Now it also uses this equipment info to calculate your levelup +MP accordingly for all the levels. I'm working on the actual instructions for washing now, those are not cool because they're texts I have to glue together based on conditions. Ew.. We'll see how well that goes^^'
Here's a tiny update with a couple of screenshots. Still working on it so it's not the final version. We might need a short explanation video on how to use it when it's done. It looks more complicated than it actually is though : Explanations on colors: Optimal equipment selection (Notice the Silver Deputy Star gets highlighted as a better option): Calculations on min/max HP and MP ranges and optimal +INT through automatic equipment selection: Various values used for calculations are stored separately for better maintenance, should anything change. Also using highlights for better readability: And some eye candy for nerds and for visual debugging :
I had to optimize the formulas for equipment suggestions because they got pretty heavy. Because of that the loading time went up to 20s ish whenever something got changed on the spreadsheet. After optimization it's around 2-3s, which I think is okay. Moving on to washing process for NL/Shad
