Maple Story 2

I was hoping it looked like a better version of Everplanet... That is the real Maple Story 2 in my opinion.

It's pretty much what I expected it to look like. Doesn't appeal to me, personally. Also, point taken about Minecraft and Mario!

 

Srsly why does everyone relate this to minecraft ugh...
oh well besides that:
it DOES look like maple to me, yes ofc its a different game but what did you expect?
A copy of the maplestory we got now?

Besides that it offers alot of potential like event stuff.
For those worried about the social aspect, its all about the people who are planning on playing maplestory 2.
If people only play to say that the game sucks then please, don't even bother playing.

Maplestory 2 has alot of potential according to this gameplay video. I'm just hoping that nexon is not going to fuck this up o.o

 

I was also hoping for something like this or Dragon Saga (Dragonica).

 

It's obviously based off old arcade games, nothing wrong about that, original maplestory was too.

 

From what I can tell it's not "real" 3D anyway. It's just isometric 2D, no?

I'm personally not interested in playing it...the only games like that I have liked thus far out of the several I have tried, were Diablo3 and Bastion.

 

They could of showed this game under a completely different name and nobody would know it's Maple Story. They just slapped the Maple Story name on it...

I'm curious though, will we ever get an unofficial Maple Story 2 successor? Sort of how Path of Exile is a more true Diablo 3, or how Tree of Savior is a more true Ragnarok Online 2.

 

This is what I always pictured a 3D Maplestory to look like.

 

Didn't expect to see so much hate from the trailer. I like the legos and Minecraft resemblance. Gameplay seems fine, too. Almost identical to Dungeon Striker.

 

It just looks, wrong.
