Welcome to the Mapleroyals Islander Rankings. The information in this thread has been gathered from old screenshots, guild rosters, and archives of the official rankings.

Here's how it works:

• If you haven't left Maple Island and are level 30 or higher, you can be on the list.
• Alts can be listed too, as long the main is noted.
• Ties are broken by most recent, so levelling up puts you at the top of the stack for that level!

Spoiler: Gear Showcase

This section exists to show off all the rarest and luckiest items on the island. Odds have been calculated based on how many of that item it would typically take in order to end up with one with those stats. So if the odds say "1 in 20,000", you'd need normally to have to find and/or attempt to scroll 20,000 of that item before getting one with these stats or better.
In many cases non-major stats like defense on Gomushins are ignored in the odds calculation. Odds for Talking Witch Hats and Broomsticks were determined using a python script that simulates witch scrolling 1,000,000 clean items and determining how many reached or exceeded the chosen stat threshold during scrolling.

	13+7 White Bandana	Lowly	1 in 800,000,000	You might think this item is too good to be true. And you'd be right, because it was made using a now-patched bug back in 2015. The original owner, Virus17, was banned for making it, but got unbanned because it seems like he didn't realize it was a bug and genuinely thought he was lucky. You can read the ban appeal here. It has changed hands through the years and now rests in Lowly's inventory.
	18+5 Red-Striped T-Shirt	Laxz	1 in 1,175,779	Found this image posted in the Islander discord chat, with surprisingly little fanfare for what is likely one of the rarest (legit) vanilla items on the island. From what I can tell, this user was banned for vote abuse back in 2020, so this item is likely lost forever.

Great work as always, Shylander! Your work is inspiring a whole new generation of islanders to pick up the Maplemas Lights and slap some pigs around. I deeply appreciate the effort you've put into these rankings, and I'm glad to see them highlighted in their own thread!

With that in mind, I think I'll use this thread to keep track of the updates I see being needed instead of the Discord, and see if that works any better!
