Hello everyone! Hope you're doing well. Decided to play again once in a while but I'm experiencing some issues now with windows 11 (was previously on windows 10 on a different PC). Basically, I have 2 main issues. 1) When I open royals and log onto a char, I would press alt + tab but it's not responsive. When I also move my cursor to my second monitor, my cursor is INVISIBLE. I can SOMETIMES click on stuff but sometimes the click isn't responsive either. It goes back to normal once I close out of Royals. 2) When I try to open a second client, one client stays on top and I can't even click over to the second client. If I try to drag the second client over the first client, it moves UNDER the client and not on top. If I try to click the second client and do any actions like jump or cast a buff, the actions will be performed on my first client. Some things I tried: - I right clicked the client > properties > compatibility tab > change settings for all users > change compatibility mode to windows 7 (also tried 8) and checked the box for "run this program as administrator" - I checked the display settings of both monitors (they're both on their default recommended - I tried matching the second monitor resolution to my main one also). - I tried changing the in game settings to full screen and back to windowed but nothing happened. - Tried playing in both resolutions 800x600 and 1024x768 Any help would be appreciated. Thank you so much!
1) do you have a screenshot or camera picture of how the cursor turned invisible? 2) I think this issue might be caused by the Discord overlay, you may refer to this thread https://royals.ms/forum/threads/multi-client-issue-15th-nov-2025.251841/
1) Best way I can describe it is - once I open the client, everything is still fine. As soon as I type in my info and get to the char screen, I'd slide my mouse over to the second monitor and it's just not visible anymore. I can right click and see the drop down menu but I don't see my cursor at all. I have to see the option "light up" to know where my cursor actually is, if that makes sense. I did further testing to answer you better and I noticed that once I have the client open and move my mouse over to the second monitor, you see the white hand cursor on royals just move all the way right to the client and just get stuck so I feel like my cursor on the second monitor is gone because my PC still has royals has the primary window? When I alt + tab, I don't see the window that allows you to toggle between windows. Nothing pops up at all when royals client is up. I tried to upload files to this reply but was prompted the error The following error occurred There was a problem uploading your file. 2) I actually found your thread about discord overlay and followed the instructions. Issues persisted. I even tried just ending discord task as a whole but no luck :\ Thanks for your help!
1) the error occur as the forum can only accept up to 1 MB file size, you may convert the image to JPG format, or link via imgur/postimages 2) if it isn't the discord overlay, do you have any other overlays active such as Nvidia ones?
1) this pic shows me right clicking on my second monitor. I can see the options but there's no cursor as you can see (or can't see lol) this pic shows what I mean by the royals hand cursor just stays stuck there when I drag my mouse over to my second monitor 2) No overlays that I know of. I closed out of nvidia to be safe. I also closed out of steam. I thought steam might've caused me issues because for some reason when I have a steam game open, royals doesn't open at all unless I close out of the steam game. Still no luck
1) I think this is normal behavior when the client is full screen - I only play in windowed If you prefer a full screw view, can you try double click the upper part of the client window (while still windowed mode) 2) this issue is likely due to the client still being in full screen, unless you meant you tried doing this while in windowed mode
1) same here, I'm on windowed and still have these issues. I tried to put it in full screen and then back to windows but doesn't work. 2) Yup in windowed mode
Update: So I found a SLIGHT work around. Once I open a client or two and have all those problems, I ctrl + alt + del to bring up task manager. If I go over to "windows explorer" task and restart the task, I can now alt tab with my clients open. I'm still having the main issues where my cursor on browsers are invisible and I can't seamlessly swap between clients just by clicking on them. But I did find out that if I alt tab from client 1 to client 2, I can now do actions on client 2. If I alt tab back to client 1, I can do clients on there as well. Down side is it only works if I alt tab to it specifically and alt tabbing only works if I restart the windows explorer in task manager.
I see, maybe this is a Windows 11 issue I am still on Windows 10, can't replicate the mentioned issues
Also shifted this thread from Tech Zone to Technical Help, as the Tech Zone is meant for non-Royals matter
