Unrelated to the library but the beta link at the homepage needs to be edited as well. From https://beta.royals.ms/ to https://royals.ms/beta/?page=index
The search function needs to be updated as well. For instance, if you search for chaos scroll you'll end up getting this link https://royals.ms/?page=items&search=Chaos Scroll 60% but the correct link is this one https://royals.ms/library/?page=items&id=2049100
Adding onto above, the regular search is working for me, but clicking on the auto-filled item names gives you the same broken link (missing library/ in the URL).
I don't understand why the MapleRoyals' Library database can't simply be synced up with the server's database so that it automatically adjusts the Library for any changes made to the game via game updates. Far too many things have been changed from hidden street's database, and people are and WILL GET confused, and angry. Just look at this thread for some proof: https://royals.ms/forum/threads/ninja-castle.104767/ The server's drops, etc should either not be changed AT ALL from the default (hidden street's database), or it should be updated to every change. Well that's my opinion anyway. I've been wrong before.
It does pull from the database but I think there's something between there and website which is causing the discrepancies. Bright side is this was actually recently brought up and there's "grand" plans for the library tied in with another update so keep your eyes peeled.
Oh okay awesome. I just assumed that it wasn't synced from the server's database because of these discrepancies like you mentioned. I hope that whatever issue is causing the inconsistencies between the server and the website gets fixed as soon as possible, so players don't get confused and waste their time. I'm glad to hear that it could be fixed in the near future. Discrepancy examples: -the Purple Gaia Cape not showing that it has a magic attack bonus in the library when it does in the game. -Every scroll for eye accessory for int show that they don't drop by anything in the Library when they actually do drop from many of the monsters at the Ninja Castle.
I would like to do a suggestion for the library. Since drop rates don't really show, I would like to know the drop rate of an item of each mob.
When a result returns nothing (or everytime, at the bottom) it could be nice to have a link to the bbb page for the search. https://bbb.hidden-street.net/search_finder/ << search term forwarded >> I suggest this because I always end up there after a failed search anyways.
Good idea, but some of the items & mobs listed on bbb hidden street do not reflect the info in the library. Not possible as drop rates are revealed publicly only in rare cases where deemed fit. Nothing's stopping you from recording data on your own then comparing it with others
Alright, well, the link could be like: "No results. Would you like to make this search on bbb? <linkypoo>". That way it doesn't claim to be local info.
He didn't mean technically impossible. He said it's impossible because they chose not to reveal those values.
Unfortunately, I think it was completely up to you to misunderstand him. Something can be "not possible" for more reasons than just technical limitations. In one sentence he outlines the exact reason why it is impossible for a non-technical reason, you must've stopped reading after the word possible.
Add classes and skills to the library. Have them reflect and describe how they work in this version of the game. Make sure you add any known bugs or errors with the skills (them *not working at all*/bugs/changes made in this version/and if they contradict or override other skills or potions) and most importantly, that you are aware of these issues and are trying to fix them. For instance, shadowers have two skills that don't work at all (taunt and ninja ambush), or gunslingers dash overriding haste. You need pages that can inform your audience of your versions skills and how they actually work/don't work. All you have available is user guides, which help some players, but they don't provide level by level information or stats and players need to know outside of a third party guide if a skill even works or not. And plus that's really negligent to not fix core mechanics that don't even work right or together for players who are working together to have fun, and instead add pay to play junk. Add that stuff later, fix all skills and make it known what's wrong with them to players who look for skill info.
Now that the big update is behind us, can you guys please update the library? It hasn't been updated in a while. Thank you for your hard work!
