Found a SS on my old hard drive lol... https://i.imgur.com/MjvATXG.jpg Have to go through and see if I can find any others hahaha. But yea, EMS was a lot of fun. Played from the start until about 2011-12 when Big bang was released.
My guild was full of weirdos. (<3 love you guys) We had a finnish guy who played like the only bucc in Broa.. oh Jobbah. Our GM was Cheyenne, a pasty white kid from the philly projects who to this day I have no idea how he survived without working... we met in 2006 when I went to Himes on my HP warrior and he was there duoing with a hermit... lol. My best friend Jeb always played one of his like 3 heroes. Owen was a Canadian kid we met (eh?) (he was nice as the cultural stereotype would suggest), he eventually 1-200'd a cannoneer in a no-life like 18 hour/day grind none of you would believe and is part of the reason out guilds HS mule was 171 by the time most people quit in 2012. Alvin... I don't know what he was all about but he was like 25 and had the voice of a 13 year old. He was "azn" as he put it. My friend Nick was Aussie and played a MM like me, and we always made fun of his accent and how his country lost a war to giant flightless birds (Emus are 1-0 as of like 1940). Jobbah had a maple GF, and I'm still not convince that Chey and Nick are straight but I won't spread rumors (lol). We had a bunch of others, mostly BF/GF who met in the guild and found out they lived like 30 blocks from each other in NY, or the same city in Idaho (yeah I don't know, maybe it was just luck) There was absolutely no filter. We skyped for years between text chats and voice chatting. I'm in grad school. Jeb makes donuts for a living. Cheyenne is still unemployed and plays games all day. Jobbah is... I have no idea, I assume still in Finland. I miss him. Owen passed away in 2012 and none of us knew about it till Cheyenne googled his name and saw his sister posted an obituary.. but we all connected again and she was part of the group for a while and is a close friend. Alvin is still doing whatever Alvin does. Nick just published his first steam game and as far as I know hasn't been killed by the one of several million things in Australia that kills for a living. These are all people I would never want my parents to meet (minus jeb but BFF's), and honest to god if I ever die someone needs to erase everything on skype that I've ever been involved with or my parents might have a heart attack, but they're some of the best friends I ever made. I talked to them more than most people in HS, and I keep in contact with them more than people I met all through undergrad.... so as far as Maple, the forums, this, whatever being a dating site? If the friends people can make here are any indication of the kind of bonds possible, I 100% believe people can fall in love and more. Although whether or not people should be dating complete strangers is a different issue entirely... lol /wall text and life story. /
@AdultToys used GMS and Royals as dating sites. He hooked up with multiple girls in real life in person through maple in the past..................
