you dont need your mouse to CC. And I would assume they did mean to CC but CCed to the wrong channel but who knows. Anyway, I think CC shouldn't affect map ownership and I also disagree with shortening it, bishop who is dooring to NPC gears shouldn't loose ownership. What I do think is a good suggestion is to limit ownership to 1 map.
If you want to see exactly how people abuse mapowner and treat it like a weapon take a look a recording from today. People will kill one mob, gain mapowner, cc, kill one mob, gain mapowner, cc, repeat. This abuse is exemplified when you multiclient and dedicate one character to hold as many channels as possible while they kill on their main character. Timestamps: At 1:05 you can see I cc to ch 18 after not being in that ch for several minutes but I still have map owner for over 5 minutes. Why is this allowed? I was changing channels constantly yet I still own a map channel I haven't been in for several minutes? 1:47 this is peak abuse of mapowner. You can see throughout the video they're ccing all around with their 2 characters, come back to the one I was on and because for some reason you're allowed to control all these channels yourself you can force someone out. What exactly am I or others who don't abuse mapowner supposed to do when people like this can hold numerous channels? 3:00 bonus clip. @InfiniteJest defames me. I mean that's always been something people can do, it's just the effort required was never really worth it when you can just use them to mage farm. If you wanna do that to prove a point nothing's currently stopping you. The rule change would just make things much more difficult. Also thank you for double downing on your position, it makes things very clear for us.
It's simple. Just remove / reduce the nx possible from the Leafre/ToT bosses and everyone will no longer bother with them.
