Event March & April Forum Events - Design a Chair

Do you happen to have an idea how i can resize/crop/zoom it without owning or having in-depth knowledge of photoshop?

 

I don't understand, all the entries so far have the character in them, and the sample images show a character too. The submitted images can't be of much use if there's a character in the way, blocking the chair. I take it we're supposed to submit the chair frames without the character? But how will you then know where we want the character to sit?

Open the file in photoshop.
Click the image tab on the top left.
Select image size.
Uncheck the constrain proportion box.
On the pixel dimension area, type 300 for width and height.
Click OK.

That sound change your file to 300x300 pixel.

To make this much easier, you're better off creating a 300 x 300 PIXEL canvas in photoshop to start. You can drag different images into this canvas and it will stay at 300 x 300. If you want to resize an image, simply select the layer, press control + t (or command + t, if you're on mac), hold shift and use your mouse to enlarge or shrink. You MUST hold shift until the end of its transformation (that's what it's called) or else the image will be distorted and not proportional. After you've changed it to a size you like, press enter and your image will be resized. If you crop it, you will be cropping the ENTIRE image, which will change your ENTIRE canvas to a different dimension that isn't 300 x 300.

Concept of my chair: I personally think Ellinia is one of the most relaxing places to be in MapleStory. In appreciation of the artwork, I attempted to draw a chair that captures the same feeling so players can bring it wherever they go.
