After section A is cleared move to section B to check if there's any mob left/falling down from section C section B+C (1 person) : clear initial spawns of section B and then climb up to clear section C, this is straightforward and as long as you trust your BR partner, you don't even need to worry about the Eyes dropping down when you climb the rope. for GR side section D (1 person) : either by walking through section F do a clockwise cleaning up or drop down doing counter-clockwise, both are fine. I prefer counter-clockwise way because of the shorter path to reach the rope when I have to climb up. section E (1 person) : the main task here is to block Crystal Boars from falling down. Clear right side first while keeping an eye on boars approaching the "gap" from left side. ONLY after making sure there's no other boar will spawn at lower part section E that you can start climbing up. section F can be cleared by anyone, there is only initial spawn here and they will never leave the platform - Stage 2 (rope stage) The answer will not change if you fail too many times (mobs summoned). Understanding the deduction logic behind the chart is helpful for memorizing it. - Stage 3 (code stage) Details in this stage are well covered by APQ guide. In case you are still not familiar with the possible sequences, I found this a good start point to think about : 11111 / 12222 / 22333 / 33344 / 44445, when bottom has 5 corrects /4/3/2/1, and all their permutations. - Stage 6 (boss stage) Consider high level I/L mage as strong attacker. I figured out this movement to stop Geist Balrog's infinite TP-attack after some regular runs and eventually verified in solo APQ. TLR Stay in the blue zone to allow it using lightning attack. Pay attention to who is currently getting the aggro. to elaborate on the reason, Geist Balrog has 4 skills: 1 lightning attack, animation same as Crimson Balrog you can see on the flight between Orbis&Ellinia, during the animation it's touchable to players, this attack has shorter reach as blue area shown above 2 tp-claw attack, untouchable iframes, this attack has wider reach as red area shown above 3 weapon/magic cancel, animation same as lightning, touchable to players, only uses once in a period of time 4 dispel, no animation, this doesn't 100% affect on all players in range, if you are thief/bucc, you should always haste/si again before entering bonus, regardless of whether you were dispelled or not If the aggro target stays within red area (outside blue area), balrog can only use it's tp skill and here we go. This usually starts with ranged attackers (NL, Archer, NL, Sair, NL, NL, and NL) pushing it away to some distance. To break the infinite loop, either you move your lazy ass or you wait until next 10 seconds when it re-casts weapon/magic cancel and bet on something will change during this 1 second vulnerable animation. By understanding these 4 skills you're able to explain the scenarios happened in all of your previous boss stages. - Bonus Stage How fast a party can reach this stage depends largely on members not leader, it's general sense of all PQs. A good baseline is to enter bonus at timer 1:08 - 07. Pet for bon: You only need 1 pet, any more is just confusion maker, unless your Haste dc and you need pets for speed/jump anyways. Weapons for bon: Spoiler: usable weapon list faster(3) (○) / fasterer(2) (◎) if +2nd job Booster or SI : fruit knife (all classes) Fusion Mace (warrior, mage) Field Dagger (warrior, thief) Pig Illustrated (all classes) and other more.. fast(4) (?) / fasterer(2) (◎) if +2nd job booster or SI : Broomstick (all classes) Red Craven (NL) GDK, Kanzir (Shad) Red Whip (all classes) Sword (Lv.0) (all classes) and other more.. fast(5) (x) / faster(3) (○) if +2nd job booster or SI / fasterer(2) (◎) if +2nd job booster and SI : Sparta/Carabella/ST (Hero, Paladin) and some more.. Long reach weapon fast(5) (x) / faster(3) (○, ◎ for spawn #1 #2 #5 #6) if +2nd job booster or SI : Bamboo Spear (all classes) Fishing Pole (all classes) Gold Surfboard (all classes) and some more.. Special weapon (see below spawn #4 guide) fast(5) (x) / faster(3) (○, ◎ for spawn #4) if +2nd job booster or SI : Heart Wand (all classes) Maple Bow Lv35, 43, 64, 77 (BM) Maple Crossbow Lv35, 64, 77 (MM) (NOT Lv43) Streetlight (all classes) Knuckles are bad for their short reach. - Bonus Stage / Elie map guideline for each spawn & class No Secret bon - these are the routes I've been doing for more than 1 year since Elie map became a prevalence. I wouldn't gurantee they're always the best but they worked out 99% of the time. Is uwu map a better choice? (personally) Spoiler Yes in terms of it's overall easier paths. You do hit boxes more comfortably with uwu map. No in terms of uneven numbers of boxes being divided into each section. Imo in public runs, some people who grind APQ a lot MIGHT eventually fight for spawn #3 to maximize the use of daily 4*N runs. At spawn #3 If doing on mage character it's basically 17 boxes and even 18 is possible with SI, while other spawns give 14, 15, 15, 16, 14/15. Spoiler: #1 - 16 boxes - in spawn #1 you can return back at any point so there's no need to wait for dropping 2/16 difficulty: ○○ Spoiler: extra tip for NL after breaking the 2 boxes you can Flash Jump onto this platform to help spawn #3 by hitting this 2-box a few times but not breaking it, time will still be enough 3/16 5/16 difficulty: ○○ 7/16 difficulty: ●○ 9/16 difficulty: ○○ 10/16 12/16 difficulty: ●● 14/16 difficulty: ○○ 16/16 difficulty: ○○ Spoiler: #2 first of all please answer the following question: Given the situation of the screenshot below, Where should you pay attention to? [cjeai9eji] Spoiler: answer [i014042j0we] anyone failing the test should avoid doing spawn #2 - 15 boxes - in spawn #2 you can return back at any point so there's no need to wait for dropping 2/15 difficulty: ○○ 4/15 difficulty: ●○ 6/15 difficulty: ○○ 8/15 difficulty: ○○ 10/15 difficulty: ○○ 11/15 Spoiler: extra tip for mage you can do tp-hit between these 2 boxes this will save you 3 seconds with which you can brb making coffee/tea/noises whatever 12/15 14/15 difficulty: ○○ 15/15 Spoiler: #3 - 15 or 16 boxes - this will be a little more verbose but the general idea is to decide whether you should wait or not. After some disgesting it's actually not as complicated as you might think. 2/16 difficulty: ○○ now if you are mage, move to this 1-box 3/16 for other classes without SI, skip this box if you are NL or with SI, you can try this box but the time will be tight after. Depends on situation you might skip another 1-box instead (mentioned soon), which leads to the same result as if you just skip this box from the very beginning. 4/16 for mage, do not wait for dropping, after breaking this box immediately telepert down to the next 2-box for NL you can do the same thing but if you don't feel confident with the flash jump to come back (mentioned soon), wait for dropping for other classes, wait for dropping and if no targets(apple, pineapple, basket, etc), move on to the next 2-box 6/16 difficulty: ○○ 8/16 difficulty: ○○ now, in the meantime items are dropping, if there's any apple on the right side: for mage, teleport from here to make a come back for NL, do this jump to make a come back for other classes, it's gg, maybe your friend at spawn #5 will pick them for you 9/16 for mage, use tp+hit method to hit next 1-box together for other classes, - if your pet is on the same platform with you, don't wait for dropping, move on to the next box, if it's not the case, wait for dropping - usually I'd skip this box if I reach this platform at timer lower than 0:28, if it's 0:30-0:32 I know i'm good if apple from this box drops into the wall and you can't see it, it's here, don't try to loot them by yourself, your pet will smartly find them when you hitting 13th, 14th boxes 10/16 do not wait for dropping 12/16 difficulty: ○○ Spoiler: this can be tricky troooooooooooooooolling petpetpetpet 14/16 difficulty: ○○ wait for dropping 16/16 (15/16 if skipped 3rd or 9th box) difficulty: ○○ manually clean up the ground while items are dropping, this might save you a last second apple Spoiler: #4 - 15 boxes start from this 2-box 2/15 difficulty: ○○ if you're mage, don't wait for dropping, teleport down to the next 2-box for other classes, wait for dropping (for NL you can choose to not wait, see spawn #3 guide) 4/15 difficulty: ○○ 6/15 difficulty: ○○ wait for dropping 8/15 difficulty: ○○ 10/15 difficulty: ○○ wait for dropping while moving here 12/15 difficulty: ○○ 13/15 14/15 15/15 for the last box, jump+hit and here comes the fun part. If using a random weapon, fruit knife(dagger) for example, some of the wielding animations don't generate a large enough hitbox that will make the hit happen, therefore you might not have enough time to break the box. for BM/MM, use a fast bow/crossbow (switch weapon before entering bon), with your 2nd job booster it becomes faster(3) which is same as fruit knife w/o SI , AND it allows you to consistently jump+hit the last box, very easily. for Warrior/Shad without SI (pending test) for Bucc/Warrior/Shad with SI use a Heart Wand or Streetlight, these wands with SI have faster(3) attack speed, AND they have only 1 wielding animation therefore you're able to do the same thing as BM/MM do here. Spoiler: #4 different path for NL/Sair after breaking this 2-box, jump down to the 1-box and FJ to the left you know what to do afterwards Spoiler: #5 - 16 boxes Spoiler: #6 - 15 boxes - in spawn #6 you can return back at any point so there's no need to wait for dropping 1/15 2/15 4/15 difficulty: ○○ 6/15 difficulty: ○○ 7/15 9/15 difficulty: ○○ 11/15 difficulty: ○○ 13/15 difficulty: ○○ 15/15 difficulty: ●○ Spoiler: difficulty explanation difficulty = difficulty of the positioning that allows you to poke 2 boxes at once ○○ you can hit 2 boxes easily without thinking much ●○ still easy to snap but you probably can't do this very carelessly ●● you need to pinpoint the position, however it's generally okay to just separately hit them one by one or use the left poke right poke method Spoiler: WHOSE APPO WAS THAT? I GOT THEM FROM SOMEWHERE. DID YOU LOOT MY APPO? DID I LOOT YO APPO? DDI MY PET LOOT YOUR APPLE? DID YOUR PET LOOT MY APPO? DID ANYONE SEE MY APPO?
