Yes...not sure which one I want to play on, so I figured whitelist both. Also, I'm not going to be playing until after the 30th.
I bought Minecraft a while ago and only ever played Single player. Ive enjoyed survival mode and had lots of fun building stuff and exploring. I also do not have any experience with mods. Will the server have something like a survival mode where we find resources and build that way or is it something else?
Depending on what options Marty makes the game. FTB is still a survival game, you will still need to collect resources for building things. The only difference is for example, that the game will not only have a wood, stone, iron, gold, and diamond pickaxe, but it will also have different materials, and different tools such a mining lasers. Different mod packs have different tools that you can use, it all depends on the one that is chosen. I personally can't wait to get on this, 9 days to go!
It's still survival as you know it, but with a lot of added content. I suggest you learn the mod Not Enough Items first, it's not a mod that ads content, but it adds in-game help to all other mods (it's the big ass list you see in your inventorie to the right once you're in-game, can't miss it). It's real easy, you can basically search in it, and click items to see how to make them. After that, look up the mod Tinkers Construct, it's a pure survival mod, it adds tools (pickaxes, shovels, axes etc.) and weapons (different kinds of swords). But it has a really unique way on how to use it, you can use it right from the bet it just takes some wood and stone to start making your first things, plus the tools with it never break, you can repair it with the material you made it with, but that's all explained in a book that you get when you join our server. I still need your minecraft name to whitelist you though (allow you on the server) before you can join it. ~Sicle EDIT: Much errors, such lazyness.....
Some in-game screenshots... Been mining and made a small energy source using Biomass! I'm primarily using TE (Thermal Expansion) at the moment, I recommend newer FTB players to do the same if they join. c: Automatic Sugar Cane Farm 4 Biogas Engines, nice 20 MJ/t supply for my ME network ME network! (Chests are too mainstream)

Sorry for the down time, I made a mistake and thought the server was reachable but it wasn't, it's fixed now and the server has been moved from the temp. setup location to a dedicated server. The IP has not changed.
