You're right. Idk. Stock prices for chaos and white scrolls have almost tripled. (Last year around this time they were about 100-120m) With the content being the same i think they will continue to grow. Maybe they should be taken out of gach.
How does this compare to the total money supply in the server? I feel like knowing the absolute numbers is kinda meaningless without knowing the %. Also would it be possible to know how the total mesos changed in the same time period? I'm just trying to get a sense for the inflation rate on the server.
Surprisingly good in my opinion. Total mesos are currently 2,009,305,254,603. And this includes banned accounts and inactive accounts.
Wait, so we sunk 900B through owls/tax when there are only 2T in the economy? Whaaaaat? That almost seems impossible to believe. If it's true I would think all this is under control... Edit: Check that - I think we need to compare the 900B drained to the amount of mesos that entered the economy in the same time period, and THEN compare to that the number of active players or something (proxy for aggregate supply) before we can conclude inflation is under control. Edit2: acutally without even knowing all that, the drain amount is just so big compared to total supply that this is probably a non-issue. after all, how much can the money supply have grown when there is currently only 2X the amount of the drain?
Not sure if this was suggested already, but my favourite event in GMS was the Special Beauty Coupon event. For those who weren't around, monsters would drop pink envelopes that when clicked would randomly change your look. So random hair, skin colour, face, eye colour and hair colour. How about having something similiar be purchaseable from the NPCs in RoyalMS? The envelopes could be, say 10 mil a piece, and could maybe give you some rare hair and face if you got lucky. Completely cosmetic and fun meso sink.
Haha, totally sorry if I wasn't being clear and I'm just making more work for you. After all, it's a total luxury to look into all this. But what I meant was we need to know that meso amount was as of a past date. Ideally, it should be when the sinks were implemented. For example if meso supply was 1 Trillion when sinks started to be implemented, that would mean that there was a total meso "in-stream" (sorry, forgetting my vocabulary) of 2 Trillion into the economy, since 1T (past amount) + 2T (instream) - .95T (sinks) =~ 2T (current amount). And a doubling of the money supply is still a pretty high inflation rate. I would think that, ideally, you will find that the meso supply stayed the SAME, adjusted for number of players playing (again, as a proxy for supply). Let me know if you disagree with this thought, I'm not a professional economist or anything.
I understand, I was going to post another update in a few days time or something so that it can be compared. Although at the moment it looks like mesos are going down by 2b/hr, theoretically we will run out of mesos in 41 days. Although obviously that isn't going to happen and that is just a few hours worth of info. But feel free to enjoy that bit of information.
Actually your mesos would become exponentially (or linearly idk just using an adjective here) more valuable if the meso sinks were in fact depleting the royals meso supply o.o
Do you think we can follow up on this now that it's been a week? Very curious to see what it looks like.
