Hi there, I've been looking for a private server for a while, but I'll do a quick run-down on myself first. Been playing Maplestory very on-off since 2005. Loved the game to bits, more often than not just doing quests and having fun rather than training. My main was a I/L Wizard, the most fun to me. I loved zipping around and casting magic spells. Years go by, blah blah. The game progressively gets worse and worse, more into damage, money corruption, you name it. It stops being 'my' Maplestory and starts being a game I'm sad about. Big Bang comes along, changes everything and makes me hate the game even more. Don't get me wrong, some good things came in the BB, but overall it was a downer for me. I recently re-downloaded Maple (I needed access to the files to extract for comics) and decided to log in. Totally shattered at what happened to such a wonderful game. So that brings me here. A PS that isn't 1000000x exp rates and insta 4th job. Something I can enjoy and bask in the nostalgia of 'my' Maplestory memories and enjoyment. Everything from the walk from Hene to Sleepywood, to the training at Straw Target Dummies. I am a little sad I won't be able to complete all the Maple Island quests without over levelling but I guess you have to make some sacrifices. This time I think I'll be making a Crossbowman, since that's the one job apart from Bandits and my I/L, that I'd liked to have made in Maple. My IGN will be Solatoral, you're free to add me anytime you want to, I'm looking for nice, friendly people to talk to or whatever comes along Quick question for anyone - Is there a way to get NX in this private server? Not that I want a whole load, just to maybe get a weapon to cover Xbows since they're not the prettiest (I like bows better, but I like the Crossbowman class itself more). Otherwise, that's it. Hi and welcome to the server and forum! I have a tip for you if you want to attempt completing as many quests as possible. You can use the character command @emo to killyourself and lose exp or I am pretty sure there is also the command @fixexp (or something) which sets your EXP to 0. Do @commands for a list of commands. Be weary of completing the Quest at your 1st job advancement. This quest gives 199% and will overlevel you probably. Choose the bottom selection at the NPC to advance. I will be looking into this quest soon to find some kind of workaround. To get NX, You can vote for our servers gtop100 ranking once per 24 hours on the main website > www.MapleRoyals.com > and click Vote. You also get NX Cards from monsters which you can exchange at the Maple Administrator If you have anymore questions, ask away
Thank you for the welcome I have voted just before you said that, funnily enough. Not just for NX, but I genuinely think this is a lovely server in the short experience I have. I did job advance before handing in the quest, just because I knew it'd be way too much EXP, but thanks for the tip anyway Just one question, if you don't mind. When I go into windows mode, there is a little 'info square' in the top right. Is there anyway to remove it? Alt + F12 or Alt Gr + F12 should get rid of that. But I find it keeps coming back when you re-open the game I beleive... =/
