Veterans arguing over a class that they dont play, perhaps? I guarantee you there is no one who plays Drk, pro or not, who is happy with being unable to Zerk in Auf or PB and want to gatekeep the oh-so-cool difficulty
There's also players who can beat dark souls blindfolded, doesn't make that gameplay any less reasonable for the average population.
I don't know how it's possible to survive 15.5k attack with 15k HP, but yeah that's tons more difficult than what other classes have to deal with and "git gud" when doing something like that is unreasonable for most people
Drk should also be fine berserking in Pink Bean because his attacks are even easier to avoid than Anego's slap
Essentially they're prepotting based on the animation and taking advantage of the touch damage in-between attacks, giving them a 2-4 second window to attack the boss. Probably wouldn't be possible if you weren't soloing it, for me personally the video skips were to hide death mistakes. It's been a minute but I'm pretty sure majority of the animations are away from damage lines so the animations are much easier to read.
Kiiiind of. The only attack you need to worry about is a mid ranged attack he does that deals 18k without Achilles. It has a very unique (and loud)sound and a very slow wind up time. And also touch damage, he could just casually walk in your face.
To avoid any confusion, the thread owner was caught ban evading and his forum accounts were merged Won't be locking this thread as there are much valuable Feedback/Discussion being posted so far, but if the thread owner turns this into Ban Appeal, I would have to do so Hope this clarifies any potential upcoming confusions
1. I think this is a great idea. Players should have some kind of control over their ability to obtain the essential gachapon items (e.g. by farming a particular mob, boss, completing an exchange quest, etc.). It probably shouldn't be as efficient as using gachapon to get them (which is inevitable, given enough attempts), but it would probably be more satisfying to have the option for a slow and steady way to get the items you need, and I don't think it would really rock the boat much. As you pointed out, most of the hardcore veterans on Royals have already accumulated so much wealth that this probably wouldn't even be an appealing thing to do to earn items, but it could really help newer players stay motivated to reach endgame and contribute to the server's economy by grinding. I will say though, one of the advantages of having items locked behind gachapon is that it keeps people coming back. I know it works that way on me, anyway. A different way to tackle this problem (i.e. that important items/weapons are locked behind gachapon) would be to make it more viable to use various gachapons throughout the game. To do this, I would add CS/WS as possible rewards from every gachapon, but I would nerf their drop rates a bit (maybe from 1/150 attempts to 1/300 attempts). If you're gaching for a specific piece of gear, sometimes it can feel like a total waste of time if there isn't a chance to get a big ticket item like a CS/WS. People looking for important items like sky skis/110 weps/BF components would be less 'punished' for gaching at more niche gachapons. Overall, the server would have more niche pieces of gear and CS/WS. This would help get more SCG/Facestompers type crafting items onto the market place, and it would encourage people to treat CS/WS like scrolls instead of as forms of currency (which is how the people not rich enough to use them treat them). 7. The HP quest gives so little that it's outright insulting. If it gave at least 50 HP per attempt, I'd consider doing it sometimes. HP washing is required for certain content in Royals, and it's just a really lame, artificial difficulty spike in endgame. Right now, I have about 7.5k HP. If I wanted to make it to the measly 9.2k or whatever that's required for HT, I'd have to do the current quest about 113 times to hit that goal (assuming an average gain of 15 HP per completion). That means signing on EVERY SINGLE DAY FOR 120 DAYS FOR A MEASLY 1.7k HP. Let alone if I had the ambition to get 30k HP. Again, assuming that I end up with about 10k HP just from natural leveling, if I wanted to hit the HP cap, I'd have to do this quest 1,333 times. Which, would involve signing on every day for about 4 years and completing this annoying quest. This is ridiculous. I really like MapleRoyals, but this kind of stuff is just discouraging.
I like the fact that I started my NL 3 years ago~ when my friend showed me royals, and I was playing 1-2 months here and there, and now i'm 151 with good equips but still room to improve. I think it's perfect that way. slow progression = nostalgy. I do agree with your thought on mules at Zak and especially CWPQ. It's funny how parties don't even consider taking NLs without mule, they laugh at my face, and I'm like - how old are you guys? you should play royals with 1 client and enjoy the other human beings around you, playing other jobs. that's maplestory. Mulestory do suck.
I've played this server on and off for a really long time, and I can say I agree with a lot of posts here but I just didn't know the right terminology. As a casual, I totally understand that I will never be level 200 or have the most expensive gear in the world. I can only play a few hours a day, but it really sucks to not be able to afford seemingly anything even though I am farming NX or to be strong enough to actually boss right. I like the game's content and the people here but damn dude. I just try to do quests and explore since thats all I am able to realistically do unless I get really lucky with gachapon.
