Do I have to delete the old EXE myself before I start to run the new one?

 

Yes, it should have given you the option to overwrite it, since the filename is exactly the same.

 

It didn't. I clicked the link, then the download came up on bottom of screen, I chose to open when it was done. It opened then I clicked "run" (no other choices) then it gives me that error.

Hi staff. Why don`t you update the game client with this new launcher? New players may dislike the error given by the old launcher and quit before start. Thx!

 

Hello, I'm new and I've tried to download the new client and it doesn't work on MAC. The first link says, app not available. And the second link says, app does not support OS.
Is there a way to fix this?

 

What version of Mac are you running?

 

Got any other ideas for what I can do to get this working?

 

I use MacBook Air ver. 10.8.5

Also, in the old client I got "Disconnected from the server" from the network every time I try to login to any channels, even though I've check many times that my internet is working well.

 

I'm not sure what you mean when you say App is not available. Can you send me a screenshot or something?

Adrik, download the Windows setup from the MapleRoyals download page. Once the setup has been installed, replace the MapleRoyals.exe file with the one from the Announcements board entitled New Client.

 

I installed it, then I went here and clicked the link making this thing come up ~

So then I clicked run but this happens..

:/ and then this is prob not important but after I hit okay it tells me this...

 

You need to copy that MapleRoyals.exe into your C:\Nexon\Maplestory folder, overwriting the old MapleRoyals.exe

Both seem like the links doesn't support on MAC..

 

You need to right click on the MapleRoyals app that you already have, select Show Package Contents, then select drive_c, then select Nexon, then select MapleStory, and then drag that MapleRoyals.exe file into that folder, overwriting/replacing the old one. Then you can launch MapleRoyals.

 

I've follow throughout all the steps until i see two files of MapleRoyals.exe in the same folder, so i deleted both. Then tried downloading from both links and still the same message appeared on the screen just like the two screenshots shown above.

The problem is that I wasn't able to download the new client.
Should i delete everything and reinstall again?

I've downloaded the client and files to my USB key. It loads on my windows 8 laptop (64 bit) but refuses to run on my windows 7 laptop (also a 64 bit). It tells me that it cannot find the file path, and may not have the appropriate permissions to play. My windows 7 laptop has admin rights and still will not run when "run as admin" is selected... Any help would be appreciated, it's not high-importance.

 

Every day I have played this game I have to redownload the client from this page and put it back in the MapleRoyals folder in order to play. Every time I restart my computer it gets deleted for some reason. I actually have my anti-virus disabled. Does this happen to other people or just me or does anyone know why it might be happening?

 

Sanghee, try putting the folder "mapleroyals" in the list of folders/files that your anti-virus does not scan. Even though my anti-virus was disabled, it would still get deleted too and when I did that and enabled my anti-virus, it worked.
