You guys are kinda overthinking this. No rule can be perfect. Rules are devised and created by humans therefore humans will always find loopholes around it. One would be vulnerable in first offence but if the victim in scenario reacts appropriately, it should be possible to get the kser banned after second offence. If a particular person comes to snipe a low lvl boss in a map owned by someone else, there's nothing the mapowner can do for that instance. However, as mentioned before in this thread, victim could pm the kser and list what wrong he/she has done and warn him/her about the consequences of the action and remind not to repeat it again. Even if this warning is ignored, one could take ss of the dialog and it would leave chat log on server data as future evidence. Taking ss only takes split of second and it won't be too difficult to catch the offender in action if he/she decides to commit the crime 2nd time; now that victim is more alert. Victim could present the earlier dialog ss as a proof for having the necessary terms for KS report stated, although there was not enough time to type it out during the 2nd occasion. Staff aren't unreasonable people and just a ss containing mapowner stamp + kser in action (in 2nd offence) would be enough to convince the staff as long as previous dialog ss is provided, proving that the kser was warned beforehand. Maybe type anything short during 2nd offence so staff can trace the chat log and see those events happened consecutively. If you think this is too much work, you need to rememebr that this world isn't fair and cannot protect every innocent player. Thus it's everyone's responsibility to stay alert if we wish to survive in this harsh world. I think the other aspect of mapowner rule needs improvement. An owner of map has the right to ask other characters in the map to leave. This seems appropriate if the other character is actively disturbing the owner or in any logical way, hindering the owner's progress in the map (blocking the view with a large chair etc.). However, just standing and watching someone kill BF doesn't seem "disturbing" to me unless the BF killer was doing something illegal like ME glitch abuse and witnessing would have caused him serious harm. I could be wrong if "harasser" in this case said something disturbing but that doesn't seem to be the case. I hope staff could start considering whether reports on such behaviour really count as "harassment" or a mere annoyance that arose from an ill-natured mapowner because this feels like a real "abuse" of mapownership rule.
^ ~A way to improve the current mapowner system is changing the command to something shorter with it displaying both mapowner and servertime like what Evan stated . This make it easier for players to type out and screenshot in that short timeframe to catch any possible culprits . ~Also , staff should only ban players on mapowner situation only if they are disturbing the map owner in term of KS-ing , looting or harrassing . A player simply afking , wanting to have a friendly conversation or standing there to spectate the mapowner should by no mean be a bannable action .
Thank you. But I can't agree with you. I don't want perfect mapower. I just want effective mapower. "Can't help you first time, but can help you the second time" mapower is not effective. Effective mapower is: 1. easy to stop ksers after a few days Reporting must be easier. So I like the idea of ~ks. And it shows ~mapower and ~servertime together. 2. easy to stop ksers immediately Stopping ksers immediately must be easier. Nobody talks about this here. If a fast kser comes to your channel, he can kill boss with genesis and disappear. Normally, if boss is hard to kill, you can persuade kser sometimes to leave. So you still get nx and exp later. You still got good fun. But fast ksers? No conversation. Just kill and disappear. So I suggest automated ~mapower to let ksers see mapower before they kill. And if they still ks, they did it purposely. And if you get ksed: No NX, no EXP, no enjoyment. Only frustration. You have to wait for 3 hours for spawn again. So please stop these fast ksers!!!!!!!! [thank you lolli again]
