In the future, will you be tackling Cash Shop and Gachapon separately? With gachapon being quite popular and being based entirely on a random generator it would be tough to pinpoint bugs if say, something that normally would have a chance of being obtained actually isn't in the pot at all. I was just wondering/suggesting if maybe those two should be dealt with as separate entities, though gachapon IS in fact a Cash Shop item.

Great job on the source updates. Your communication has seemed to deter many of the haters that were posting before haha. Keep up the good work.

I don't think this is something you have to be worried about at all. All items you can get from the Gachapon npc you're talking to, are defined in the npc's script.
This means that it's very easy for us to see if an item is not included or has a wrong obtain chance.

Just a curiosity about gach, would there be any chance of you to make gachapon overall instead of unique, like it is nowadays in ms?
By overall I mean you can get whatever gachapon gives in any town gachapon npc, instead of going to specific town for specific item.

Unless it was like that in v62 GMS, I highly doubt such a change will be considered at this time.

I would also say imagine how much more of a pain in the ass it would be to get certain gatch items if that was the case.

Is it good to unlock the items in the bonus stage in PQs (like LPQ and OPQ)?
With CPQ coming, LPQ would certainly be no one without the bonus stage, and not so much people doing OPQ already in old source... It's better we all stick together !

and here we are 36 hours later. just some constructive criticism - it looks like going far over the expected time frame is becoming more and more of a norm with you guys. Just hoping you guys won't get too comfortable with that

"expect" doesn't mean "we will without a doubt".
It means we regard it as something likely to happen.

I understand that. The problem is when you guys "expect" we also expect, isn't that only natural? You guys never say anything in the line of "without a doubt."Just because you don't say those kinds of words it doesn't mean it's justified to go 2-10x over the "approximate" or "expected" time frame on a consistent basis for 3 years. I understand that the"expected" 24 hour time may not be met, but if not it should at least be somewhere close to that. It's been 38 hours now which is nowhere in the same ball park as the expected time, and not only has there been no patch, but there have been no announcements on the matter either.

funny how they expected this patch to be completed in less than 24 hours, but in the end over 2weeks. xD

I wonder if people will still donate? and how much was it to run the server a month?

I'm not here to complain or anything cos I know all the staff are working real hard to make things better for the players.

But I think I want to explain why some of the players are frustrated and are ranting it out (ok, tbh I also get annoyed too, just that I choose to believe the staff are alr trying their best and my rant will not help anything). The actual time of completion is almost always alot more than the estimated time of completion. (1 eg is mentioned in the post above).

I get it, its estimated. Therefore, not exactly accurate. But an estimate should still be pretty close to the actual thing (at most a 100% deviation). But major delays are what players are experiencing in many many situations recently (Giving an estimate also means the actual thing takes lesser time, but we never see that happening).
Expect doesn't mean without a doubt. It means something likely to happen. Unfortunately, almost always not meeting the estimation (by a large gap) is definitely not considered "something likely to happen"!!

<Just to clarify, 100% deviation is a number that I PERSONALLY feel is a reasonable delay. <-- other players and the staff may feel otherwise. By 100% I mean, eg: a patch is estimated to take 30 mins, it should be no longer than an hour. If a downtime is estimated to be 2 days, then no longer than 4 days.>

I don't wanna go into the "whether staff owes the players anything" debate. However, its always reasonable to expect someone (even if u don't know that someone and that someone owes u nothing) to deliver smtg he/she said.
I don't blame the staff for the major delays in almost every situation. But I think its very reasonable for others to complain/rant. And I fully agree to the point in hoping the staff won't get comfortable with the norm of having major delays from the expected timeframe provided, cos the IMPRESSION the players are getting is the words of staff ain't reliable and trustworthy. And this is smtg very problematic!
Its all about managing what players EXPECT. Always give yourself buffer time when giving out an estimated timeframe. Whenever a delay is expected, inform BEFORE the estimated time provided is up.

I think that the reasoning for putting the 'expect another update soon' is so people know that we're likely to have frequent server checks and that those may include updates too. But hey, I'm not the one who made the thread, I'm just stating my opinion and what I think behind it. I'm a player too, and I want to play the server as much as you guys do too.

I'm sorry, although I quoted you, my post wasn't meant to target you at all. Its just an explanation why the staff is getting so much complaints and rants recently. I just hope that we can improve on certain things so that players get a more enjoyable experience, while the staff don't get flamed for trying their best to sort things out.

Tbh at this point it's kinda a lose/lose for staff. You put up information regularly and people will complain about when the updates will come. You don't put up information and you aren't transparent and everyone gets agitated. Lmao damn. Hopefully lessons shall be learned!

I can't lie, at first I wasn't concerned, but I'm starting to slightly wonder how many more newcomers are instead turning their backs on the server at not being able to create accounts or chars..
