Hey! What is this mob? And which area do they spawn? It looks like a boss with the damage reflect buff, I hope that area has both bosses and supporting mobs to make the area interesting. I have not seen something similar to this, could it be a newer post-bb content? This is a great suggestion nonetheless. If you could provide with more details, maybe the devs or staff can look up the area to see if it fits this feedback.
Obviously that would be the case, but I would like them to be added with quest chains, that is, explorers making the lore (history) of the cygnus, perhaps if they asked me, I could support them in giving them fresh ideas, about what benefit could be obtained from it, it would even be striking to have Angelic Blessing as an extra ring and apart from its nice effect: oh yeah
The last few content releases all had restrictions, Ellin forest could be the latest without but it doesnt serve the 160+ range. I think this was due a couple years ago though its never too late to implement in the future. I still havent gotten any legitimate alternatives to my suggestion, proving that we have no content on this.
I would love to see a exp/drop buff to ToT, as i personally think these maps are ideal for parties and guardians are the coolest/most satisfying mobs to farm in the game, and combined with a pink bean release, could also revive that (epic) region. Then again, i feel it's kind of fitting that the lategame 150-200 road is mostly softlocked behind time limited daily content (bosses, lhc)
I personally think leveling is too easy considering people come here for the "Old School Maplestory" experience. I don't see any reason to add more content. I'd rather see old content getting updated instead. Being an old school server does not only mean that only the original classes should be out but also that the game IS suppose to be harder and progression should be slower. Anything you presented as an optional solution on this post would be exploitable by mage farming and therefore will ruin the server balance. I rather not see these changes being implemented.
Making mobs immune to magic, or at least take less damage is viable. For Example it's extremely difficult for Bishops to train at Ellin Forest.
This is an interesting perspective. I am curious to understand why you’d feel that 150-200 should be softlocked behind limited content? If that is the case, then this is exactly what we have currently. And since many of the player base are ageing, we would probably start to have less and less time to play. Do you (or others) think that we should look into non softlocked content so that players dont quit because of time limitations?
I think it makes sense that to get to those high levels, more "demanding" content should be rewarded - whether that be bossing or other raid-like stuff like LHC. Not really maple specific, but more a general MMO design choice, that i think makes sense. That sort of content for the most part requires you to do prequests, learn how bosses/LHC works and how it can be done efficiently, teaming up with others, and investing in the content (apples, echo, etc.) These are all qualities that 1-135 mob grinding for the most part don't require. I'm not sure i understand your second point about less time to play? LHC/bosses is a kind of lategame "grinding", where you party up to hunt very strong mobs, that gives the best EXP/time in the game, and it's balanced around not being able to do it for more than 1/2 times per day (lounge scroll cap). So instead of me grinding 6 hours at ToT, i can get the same EXP from 1 hour of LHC, making it great for people who don't have 6 hours to spend a day
