Paladin Guide The Hero/DrK class offer fast grinding and are very effective at bossing so why would you play a Paladin if you want to be useful in those areas? It is because Paladin’s offer the exact same thing (noap). Paladin’s have (+) - High hp (over 15,000 without trying to hp-wash at level 200) - 2 good skills that increase defense (40% protection from touch damage and 15% protection from all damage) - 1 skill that gives avoid (15% chance to block any attack and it is also broken and hazardous to everyone) - Great damage on elementally weak monsters (Holy, Ice, Fire, Lightning) - Attack skills that can hit a wide range of monsters or a tiny amount (1v1, 1v6, 1v10, 1v15) -Good monster immobilization (Can Freeze and Stun) They also have (-) - Terrible accuracy (Main stat strength does not give accuracy and 1 skill only gives +20) - Bad damage on monsters elementally neutral, resistant and immune (attacking skills have naturally low damage) - Bad mobility (you’re going to walk and do things slow) - Average mobbing (Their main attack that can hit 6 monsters has about same range as basic attack from Maple Island, their 1v10 attack has a 2 second cool down and their 1v15 has a 20 second cool down) Why I main Paladin? They don’t need to rely so much on full parties or buffs from other classes. Almost every boss that spawns on a timer is weak to an element and it’s very easy to waltz into any one of them to get the job done while most other classes are gathering their mules, positioning a boss or just aren't as quick as killing. On the main bosses they may fall behind other classes in killing efficiency, but they’re still capable if you can be a little creative with their skill set. Getting to 190 was very fast due to how flexible the class can be and I highly recommend this class for people with or without money. AP points You need 35 Strength to advance to Warrior by level 10. If you need dex to wear certain weapons/armor or have accuracy problems you would keep the number of your total base DEX matched with the number displayed at your current level (do not add more than 50 base DEX if you reach that point) and add the rest of your ap onto Strength. If you’re adding INT for hp-washing then that will take priority over the other stats until you reach your desired base INT. I think 193 accuracy is the goal to hit every monster relatively well or you can aim for 150 accuracy and carry around Sniper Pill’s(+10acc) and Maple Pop’s(+100acc). HP points I highly recommend hp-washing to at least 23,000 to be able to participate at all bosses. -Base INT and INT equipment totalling in 10’s will grant +1mp per level (76INT will grant +7mp and 70INT will grant +7mp) -On level up you gain another +2-4mp -When you APRESET from mp to add onto hp, you will always lose -4mp and gain +52-54hp -Upon leveling you gain 52-55hp -You gain +1000-1050hp at 3rd Job Advancement and +1800-1850hp at 4th Job Advancement https://royals.ms/forum/threads/update-54-05-07-2018.123721/ -You gain +1000hp when you completely finish this quest https://royals.ms/forum/threads/water-from-the-spring-of-youth.124038/ **Get +40 INT as soon as you can for 23,000 hp or +70 INT for 30,000 hp. You can stop wearing INT equipment Or AP RESET the base INT out when you’re satisfied with your total hp. **To actually use the APRESET you would add 1 ap point onto hp and then you would double click APRESET, remove 1 ap point from mp and then add it to hp. Do this as many times as needed to hit your goal. Weapon I use swords that do not have large Dex requirements and have no useful knowledge of blunt weapons. 1-handed swords with fast(4) speed. Weapons like these are Flame Sword, Red Katana, Maple Pyrope etc. -at max weapon speed you can do a lot of damage over time -more flexible in maneuvering between attacks and jumps -Heaven’s Hammer’s delay and start up is not much of a problem compared to the other weapon speeds -Guardian skill lets you avoid damage at a 15% chance 2-handed swords with normal(6) and fast(5) speed Claymore and Stonetooth etc. -With Speed Infusion you get all advantages 1-handed swords have except Guardian skill -Higher damage range for stronger individual hits -more range in your attacks to hit monsters further away Skill Build (place skill points in order from top to bottom) 1st +5 Improving HP Recovery (prerequisite for Improving Max HP Increase) +10 Improving Max HP Increase (increases total hp gained on level up and added ap to HP) +1 Power Strike (prerequisite for Slash Blast) +20 Slash Blast (good 1v6 attack for faster killing) +19 Power Strike (great 1v1 for bosses and lone monsters) +6 Endure (healing on rope isn’t as bad as it sounds) 2nd +19 Mastery (this will help with accuracy and damage instability issues) +20 Booster (this increases the speed of your weapons by +2 which allows faster killing sometimes) +3 Threaten (prerequisite for Power Guard) +30 Power Guard (40% less damage when touching a monster and reflecting it back at 100% accuracy) +1 Mastery (extra accuracy) +43 on anything but Final Attack **Threaten- This skill at max does not work on bosses and does -20atk/def/acc on normal monsters with a small chance to not even work. **Final Attack- At 60% activation it makes fighting difficult as it gives too many chances to extra overkill monsters that have already died. The worst part is when using 1v6 Slash Blast it will split the 250% damage between all the monsters. 3rd +30 Thunder Charge (you need this for Headless Horseman, Black crow, KACCHUU MUSHA etc) +30 Ice Charge (you need this for Road of Oblivion maps, Zakum Arm Bodyguard B etc) +30 Fire Charge (you need this for Road of Regret maps, Krexel, Bigfoot, Bodyguard A etc) +3 Charged Blow (prerequisite to Total Crash) +20 Total Crash (max to stop weapon cancel sometimes at Krexel, Zakum, Horntail, Pianus etc) +27 Charged Blow (terrible skill, but a prerequisite to a good one) +11 Improving MP Recovery (passive MP gain is more important than the other skills left) **Blizzard Charge/Flame Charge/ Lightning Charge- Some people may want to try to do a Sword and Blunt weapon hybrid, but there are so many skill points used between both weapons that certain charges may not be maxed. I do not recommend any points in these if you already have points on the sword charges. **Shield Mastery- If you use a shield and max this skill you could potentially block up to 13 damage for physical attacks. Noap 4th +1 Rush (increases mobility near monsters by a tiny bit while damaging and moving up to 10 of them in front of you. You get all of that with 1 point and 1 point is all you’ll need for now) +1 Advanced Charge (Charged Blow is not useful till level 10, but add a point to help reach its max level of 10) +1 Heaven’s Hammer (it can hit 15 monsters for a hidden 199,999 and goes through weapon cancel and monster avoidability. This will heavily speed up your map training and increase DPS at ALL bosses until you can max Blast. The only monsters it kills are ones that can self-destruct) +9 Advanced Charge (at 350% damage it hits higher than Power Strike and as many monsters as Slash Blast. It also stuns as a bonus) +30 Blast (this is your main 1v1 bossing skill. The range of the attack is much longer and wider than any other spammable attack in your skill set. +30 Power Stance (max this next so your chances of moving when you get hit is lessened which makes bosing/grinding faster and more relaxed) +20 Holy Charge (once this is maxed you’ll have more monsters to abuse your elemental advantage on) +1 Hero’s Will (if you find you need to break out of seduce at Horntail or Lyka often) +30 Achilles (take 15% less from all damage for more defense) +29 Heaven’s Hammer (faster grinding at Oblivion Road and more damage/mobcontrol at Zakum/Horntail) +4 Hero’s Will **Maple Warrior- Party skill the increases your ap stats by 1-10% for the time being. A great damage boost for solo or party play. Max when ready. **Rush- At max level it does very good damage and the range of your slide increases by quite a bit. Helps grinding by a great amount and bossing by a good bit. Max when ready. **Monster Magnet- noap **Guardian- 15% chance to block against all damage while stunning+pushing close ranged monsters against your will. As a 1 handed user I really do like this skill since it adds to your overall defense. I have killed a lot of people by accident with its push back feature and if you max this skill just know that the monster is pushed back opposite of the direction your character faces and the pushback usually takes priority over every attack in knockback. Currently bugged and will not protect against damage that is paired with status ailments. Your regular monster training will be slower due to all the random push backs. Max this skill or put no points. Because this guy has a perfect shield and a perfect sword. He uses them when he doesn't have si. If he does have si, you can be sure he would be using a crushed skull. A maple sword without si deals more dmg than a ST without si
oh ic. Cause i read somewhere that 2h sword pally is better than 1h sword or bw pally so i kinda confuse
It probably is with the SI buff. But without it, the perfect 1H maple weapon + perfect Shield would be better.
No you can just get a flame sword lol. Flame sword are better than pyrope swords now. That is unless you prefer having accuracy
oh ok. But would you recomand flame sword with shield or crush skull with shield ?? Cause i read somewhere that Flame sword is very hard to hunt.
Crushed skulls require si to be actually comparable with 1h swords, last I remember. Whether it is hard to hunt, your best bet is still the flame sword. I believe the white tigers at lushan drop them
i think u need to decide if u want to go BW or Sword. also flame sword is actually farmable. u cant farm skulls
im lvl87 Pala now. HP 6608 MP 996. INT5+25 If 4th job grants u 1800 hp. Upon level ill get 52hp x 33 (to Lv120) : Meaning ill have 6608+1716+1800 = 10124 hp upon level 120. This hp at lv120 seems really sucks.... unable to do bosses and ...kinda fed up just thinking about it and lose the motivation.
Which bosses are you unable to do at lvl 120 because of your HP being just over 10k? Remember you have Power Guard as well. Plus you can get a lot of HP from the Spring of Youth quest (if you haven't already done that), the repeatable Reuel HP quests and the Adventurer's Assignment HP boosts. And you could spend about 160m (APR 8m ea) to gain another ~1k HP if you want to wash a little.
Could someone explain why "Road to Oblivion 5 " has $$$$$, what in the map/drops in particular generates that much mesos?
