Yeah, the quest dialogue do talk about the pet has to be level 15 but I recall it being completable regardless of level in official version too.
Okay so for the pet speed, it requires 15 closeness for the pet. Also upon completion, the speed bonus should be given to the current boss pet active. So you should actually have to do it 3 times. As for smart pets, it is robos. But from what I've checked, sources say smart pets are also referring to those pets that can evolve, which means the baby dragon too. (But i have not tried since no nx :<) As for smart pets auto speech, I also found sources saying they included speeches like when the owner dies, goes idle and levels up.
Omfg then why did mine work for all pets on first try wtf ok will be testing this (and everything else) out again tonight to triple confirm, then update this thread.
I forgot to mention that if you're wearing a pair of snowshoes, the pet will also have the snowshoe effect as well after completing the quest...which is kind of neat since the pets can make quick turns that way so you can loot faster but it also means that the pet will also have slightly smaller looting "range" since the turns are instant instead of the slight gliding effect when not wearing snowshoes.
haha actually i am not sure if its a bug or not. First time i completed, they took 5 etc. 2nd time i completed, they didn't. So i could do it straight for my 3rd pet. Currently keeping the etc in case i ever buy new pets wow nice i didnt know that
You can keep repeat and complete the quest without anymore papers once you've done it for the first time, but that only applies to that character which had done the quest with the papers first. What I do is just throw all my pets to that character to obtain the speed boost and put them back to where they belong lol. Edit: If you transfer the pet with speed boost to other characters they will lose their speed boost effect even if you move it back to your character that have completed the quest, which means you've to complete the Kenta quest again by talking to her for your pet to regain back their speed boost.
Yes. The pet boost is binding on the pet but not your character. Edit : Sorry, upon testing it seems like when you transfer your pet (Crys Rudolph for now) it'll lose its speed effect...Let me try Black Dragon and the old classic pets like white bunny and come back later. Edit 2 : Nope! Doesn't work that way. The speed boost will be gone once you transferred them. Well, at least you can keep completing it on the same character.
Updated and addressed the above in the guide, except for will settle and test these another time (soon) because I don't have time to spare to hunt the items on another char. If anyone has hunted the items and has pet(s) below level 15, please let us know if you're able to complete Kenta's Advice! Thanks for the attention so far!
One thing to mention for people using the "Blue Candle Pet". There is no NX item (Pet Snack from the Cash Shop) which increases 100 closeness per Snack given to the pet. It simply doesn't exist. Also i did the quest yesterday with 3 (new f4, rip my NX ) pets and they still didn't get the movement speed. It might have been that the boss pet recieved the bonus and i was just not giving it enough attention. In any case i will repeat the quest for the 2 remaining pets aswell. Or can i just talk to Kenta as other people here in the thread say so the 2 remaining pets will get the speed bonus too?
Allright, now did it with 3 pets. so after finishing Kenta's Advice quest for the first time, you can just start the quest over again and immediately turn it in, WITHOUT the need of having to collect the papers all over again. Just make sure you turn in the quest 3 times, with every different Pet as "Boss" pet outside.
As stated in my post yeah you can talk to Kenta to get the speed buff for the 2 remaining. Which is why i included in my post for people to keep their 1st pet > 2nd pet out for buff > keep 2nd pet > 3rd pet out for buff because its easier Also RIP candle masters, you da real MVP
