Okay so let's follow the conversation and see if it's me or your guildie who has the problem:

"Rebinding multiple actions like Genesis/Blizzard/Meteor + teleport (+ arrowkey) to one key is not allowed"

The OP's original complaint was that this information was not in the TOS and was just a footnote in an announcement - therefore not accessible. So let's ask, why is this function a bannable offense? Because not everyone has access to every tool, so macroing outside of what the game allows (Per the skill macro function) is not allowed.

A staff member pointed out it's in the very first line of the appendix of the TOS that as for the function of rebinding keys only 1:1 is allowed - meaning that any other form of macro is not.

The OP then argues that because ALTGR is not specified, that no player would have the ability to make the connection that using that function to make a multi-key macro is infract-able.

I explained (as patiently as I can), that specifications of the tools to accomplish this task are irrelevant to the conversation. You're limited to 1:1 macros, now suddenly we're talking about sentence interpretation when I demonstrated that removing the 1:1 syntax does not lead to his conclusion. In fact it does the opposite, yet their criticism is that the sentence is too ambiguous since it doesn't specify every tool available to make a macro?

Yeah, you know what most contracts/company do, they add a "included but not limited too", but any contract with a literal binary statement saying "This, specific thing, is not allowed", is what defines the purpose of the communication. Which is no macro that does more than a 1:1 iteration is allowed.

And it's a dumb idea - if implemented all it does is open up to other people acting willfully ignorant saying "well this wasn't listed!!!". I would agree with the adjustment to the suggestion as an additional example if it wasn't written clear that the limitation isn't the tools used but rather the intent to do more than 1:1 on re-binding of a key.

It's literally the first sentence of the appendix and is a direct limitation and expression of intent of the rule.
