hi staffs / community, does anyone know if you do a character deletion / name change will the name that is changed/ deleted be up for taking or ..... i'm sorry if this question is in the wrong thread. i have also searched up ign change in the search section not sure if i searched it right " ign change"
When I did a name change I made another character with the IGN I was changing to and the IGNs got swapped between the two. When you delete a char the IGN should become available again yes, I usually have two clients open, character creation with the name typed in ready on the second one so I don't risk 'losing' the IGN (probably unnecessary but I like to be really sure)
A name is binary either it's in use or it's not in use. If you delete the character using the name, it is INSTANTLY available for someone else to use. If you want a name change, it's highly recommended to hold it on another character. Since it's done when the server is offline they'll trade the 2 chars names then you can delete the other name.
