Hello, Long story short. I played Maple Story around 2006. Reached 70+ with Bandit and crossbowman. Want to return. Few days ago, I installed current version of Maple Story but couldn't find myself there. Googled a little and found MapleRoyals. Played it for ~3h, reached nearly 20lv with magician and decided I will stay a little longer Not exactly with Magician class Forum is mix of old and new topics, not sure if stuff I am reading is actual. Question: What class is easy to play without additional founding and can be nice in end game. I am not sure if HP / MP washing is still a thing because in few topics people mentioned some HP quests (and that those give MP to mages). I don't want to have best stats / dps in game, but also don't want to create new character because selected wrong skills / attributes. My noob search resulted in two classes: - Bishop, no need for MP wash, maybe HP wash around 100LV. guide: Bishop's Guide 2022, [Horntail Guide!] | MapleRoyals - Hero, no need for HP /MP wash. No idea for skills because they were updated and guide in forum is old. I welcome any suggestion, guides or info. To be honest it would be easier without browsing this forum and reading all mixed information about Hp/MP washing
A Bishop is the best way to start the game. You don't really need funding, and you are useful through all the game. You'd need some HP washing at lv 150+ so you have a lot of time before you need to do anything regarding that. The guide you posted Is the best one I've read regarding a bishop.
Bs is good for new player. No need to fund untill 4th job. No need to care about money. No need to wash because mg protect u. Can join all games contents. Hero also good for new player. All warrior classes are cheap conpare to other classes. No need to wash since u have high natural hp. But some end game contents will be hard to join.
What about titles and rings shouldn't that be enough of a HP boost to do zak run at least I want to make Marksmen
With just base natural hp ur good to do a zak run. Just dont touch the body. Hp booste from equip help u get more hp but not really need if u just run zak.
You can join boss runs as attacker ln both Pally and BM/MM while being completely naked wielding a 1 atk Halloween Basket. Every class is viable. Sure, some better in more situations than others. Before end-game/lvl 180+ it really doesnt matter. From 180+ its friends that matter, not your class. Play what you find fun and what keeps you going. DK, imo arguably, easiest first main to play. Pally joins runs much easier. Hero is not hard walled by needing to zerk bosses that deal over 15k damage but worse than DK in basically anything they can do well Bucc, very strong, very desired SI and TL buffs. MM is much cheaper than BM and much easier to get going than a BM. You can easily be naked because SE. Mages, Bishop has more content to do. FP is (a lot) cheaper than IL. IL mage is better at RG (170+ daily content) NL and Shads are very expensive to get decently geared. Shad's Meso Guard allows you to skip all HP bullshit in the game (as well as it being very very strong to get more hp). They also have a lot of fun tools to play with and really don't care about party composition. NLs have fallen off in the single target meta. Nonetheless, I play an Ironman NL. (No party, no trade challenge) and they are very fun to play Just skip Sairs for now.
Thank you for all replays. Basically my plan is as follows: Get 120 Lv with Bishop doing all quests (just to feel some nostalgia) and meanwhile get some mesos. I will aim to fulfil all missed opportunities in original maple (Zakum Boss run, scrolling stuff myself etc.) After 120 LV I will decide if I want to stay in game, if yes what class Because I will have some founding, it will be easier to start anything I want As said before, thanks again for help. Currently 47 LV Cleric with MAAAAANYYYYY quests to do
Gl on the quests ,U may need this guide for that. https://royals.ms/forum/threads/quest-specialist-guide-hidden-and-missable-quests.109922/ And play whatever job u like
