The server was kind of fun, except for the bugged quests and the constant server checks that make my store disappear. The rate was good and I had intentions to play for a few years.
The last few days the GMs got on my nerves, though. With all the random bans for vote abusing and stuff. I was probably going to get banned, because I played with a friend and we frequently played at each other's house. A few minutes ago I D/C, my char is stuck, the site is down. My friend is next to me, but not playing. I log on his account to see if the server is up. I log in and start playing a little. Then I contact the GMs to unstuck me and he tells me to log off my friends account. How am I bothering anyone when I'm playing a friend's account for a few minutes? And then he tells me he can't unstuck my char.

All in all I'd rate the server 2/5 for effort, but the strict rules, bans, D/Cs, downtime, bugged quests and other little annoyances add up quickly.

    Cya.

Moved thread from Feedback to Introductions & Farewells.

If you followed the rules you agreed to when you joined the server you wouldn't have been banned.

The way the staff treats this server has been working very well for a year now, and it will continue to.

Would you rather have a server with rules that are not actually enforced, therefore making it extremely attractive for everyone to abuse every single glitch there is? And what about harrassment and hacking? Should we just ignore that?

I'm sorry you had to go through some issues, but hey, we do this for free. You're not paying for this nor are we forcing you to be here. Therefore we ought to run the server as we see fit. But that doesn't mean we don't try to make it the experience as fun as possible for everyone.

Strict rules work well because everyone will know what they're dealing with. Sure, you may have some disagreements on our rules, but they've worked pretty well for this server so far, so we don't see the need to change it.

Anyway. Just felt I needed to clarify a little, as I just have to disagree on your opinion here. If you still want to leave, that's totally up to you.

First of all, I'm sorry if I came off harsh - I wanted to write my honest opinion, not insult you. This is the best nostalgia MS server there is (as far as I know), it just doesn't suit my needs. Currently no MMORPG/ MMORPG server does, as I'm a very picky person with a tendency to uninstall a program the minute it has a feature I dislike.

The need to implement good rules for the voting system (which has to do with keeping the server popular) and the limited time you have maintaining the server (you're doing it in your free time) are the biggest causes of problems for me - for which I cannot blame you at all.

You're of course right that you should make the rules in your server. I hope it prospers and brings in more people, because it's sad to see MS go the way it has in gMS.

I hope there are no bad feelings, althought I may have been a bit nervous when writing the thread.

P.S. If someone from VincitOmnia wants my items (almost 3k candles, 50-60m mesos and some scrolls - ask the moderators to transfer everything if possible). It was a good experience with cool people!
