Hello everyone! On the 7th November 2019, when our server received Update 62, we finally got to experience the long-awaited Neo Tokyo content, but for players playing Marksman (MM), they received the terrible news their unique ability to damage bosses during weapon cancels using Snipe, has been removed. As it was felt it was an important issue to be fixed by the team. Now 6 months have passed, I think that is enough time to gauge the impact of the change. I think is safe to say, I dislike the change and I am here today writing to suggest to reinstate a Marksman's ability to snipe past a boss's weapon cancel. Based on Stan's 2017 Census report, we already know Marksman is the least popular Adventurer class on the server, due to a whole host of reasons, such as having a crossbow covering their character's face, and the general consensus that they are the weakest DPS classes. Weakening their unique defining ability will further make the class even more unappealing to players. This is not just an opinion shared just by me, but by many other members of the community too. • Marksman feedback [Snipe nerf poll inside] • (RIP Snipe) Marksman Suggestions • MapleRoyals Class Tier List A class tier chart by Eli • NL vs BM vs Marksmen As we can observe from these posts, a large majority of players dislike the change implemented, as it weakens MM further, and thinks Marksmen should have some levels of compensation if this a firm change. Will the above-mentioned suggestion will completely fix marksman's viability? No, but it is a step in the right direction if we wish to help to revitalise this class, like how Paladin's unique crash skill revitalise them and how Buccaneer and Shadower's damage formula was adjusted, after gaining feedback from the community. I hope the MapleRoyals Team can do the same again, listen to the community and help to strengthen Marksman's Snipe.
Census from 2017 is extremely outdated and a bad form of information in my opinion. Since bucc and paladin buffs, they're probably both on top 5 most popular classes.
