[Request] Fusion Anvil

Another solution would be to make us able to trade a certain equip and an amount of mesos (if you want to make it a meso sink) for the equip we entered to be made into an NX item.Assuming thats easier than adding something which wasn't here in the original Maple yet.

I would love either of these options. I already take my equips on look over stats, but with either of these options I'd be able to go for stats as well.

(Maybe taking it a bit over the top) But would it be possible to wear these "NX covers" over weapons that are not of the same type? (read: wearing a axe skin over a sword, or a sword skin over a dagger, etc)

Imagine being a hero and have the stable dmg of a sword, but the awesome looks of an axe! or a DK with the dmg of a ski ski, but the sweet looks of an eclipse... *,*

(Not that im asking about weapons of the same subtypes, so not a something ridiculous like wielding a stonetooth as 1h sword or wielding a bow as a mage..)

What happens if you want to sell an item that you have used an anvil on? will it always stay "covered" or can this be undone?

I imagine it'll be harder to sell, because for example you cover a lvl 100 sword with a beginner sword. than people will just overlook it as it doesn't look like the item they're looking for. (I would anyways, I browse fm like super fast)
Also if you find the perfect item (stat-wise) but it's covered with another item that you really dislike, could you undo the cover or change it again to something else? I mean, I wouldn't pass on an item with ideal stats but an ugly face, still i'd be a shame to be stuck with an 'ugly' thing.

So, on the other server it is called transmog. Basically, you talk to an npc and it creates an nx version of rthe item that you want. It doesnt work exactly like the GMS anvil system, but it's pretty close, arguably better. This could be done by using dp or even just an amazing meso sink. It could even require certain items from random places.

Important point is missing I think :
Fusion anvil can make ur item look like any NX/Normal item according to the gms system.
this fusion anvil system will ruin rare weps from events... for example the Janus and such.

 

Not if you make it so that you need to have the weapon you want to anvil/make into an NX item in the first place.

 

You can't make it look like nx stuff. So well, no it won't ruin event nx

 

IN gms you can. and we can't take the gms system as it is, they have to code it all, which will be waste of time when I think about it, staff have much more important things to work on ( post release i mean, not upon realse)

 

As matt has stated already, they can't transfer over the gms like fusion anvil. They can however, code an npc to do the exact same thing. Also, how exactly would this be a waste of time. A lot of people would enjoy this, just because it's cosmetic doesn't mean that there is no demand for it.

For those who know me in-game, I do my utmost best to look sexy 24/7 while changing my look as often as I log in. Make this happen and I will sneak into your house just to leave all my money on your bed-side table.

EDIT: I voted donor only but, if there is a way to make it a money sink then by all means go for it.

We will not be implementing this as even v83 did not have fusion anvil.

 

What about the possibility of making an npc that does a similar thing, like the other private servers have done? People have already mentioned this in the thread but there was never any definite answer as to whether that can/will be done here?

Necro'd. I'm not going to give up requesting fusion anvil! A serious question though, if we have hair and NX and eyes from future versions of MS, what really is the issue behind having anvil?

I see absolutely no negatives.

 

Hair/Eye is as simple as importing it from the wz files from future versions.

What you're talking about is impossible because it doesn't simply involve the UI(images/effects/sounds) from future wz, but also the new source does not support it.
